Disney Could Be Canceling ANOTHER Show

It seems to be the time of year when we start hearing about TV show cancellations.

We’ve previously had news on some ABC shows, a Disney Channel show, plus a TON of Disney+ series that won’t be continuing. Well, Marvel fans might be disappointed to learn that a Marvel show could be next on Disney’s cancellation list.

According to Deadline, a second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is unlikely to air on Disney+ (and we’re kinda’ unhappy about it). During a recent interview, She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany said she didn’t think the series would get a second season. When asked about it, she replied, “I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks.’”

She-Hulk follows the life of Jennifer Walters, who inadvertently gets Hulk-like powers after an accident that required her to get a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk. The show’s first season focused on Jennifer navigating her life with these new powers while also becoming an attorney specializing in legal cases involving superhumans.

The series also boasted a strong cast. In addition to Maslany, the series also included Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner, Tim Roth reprising his role as Emil Blonsky, Benedict Wong and reprising his role as Wong. The cast also included Jameela Jamil, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga, and more. It also featured Charlie Cox returning to his role as Daredevil for the first time since the Netflix Daredevil series was canceled.

According to Forbes, the nine-episode series reportedly cost Disney $200 million, thanks to all the CGI needed to transform Maslany into She-Hulk onscreen. So it was certainly an expensive series to make, which would align with Maslany’s comments.

Does this mean we’ve seen the last of Maslany as She-Hulk, though? Well, she could turn up in another show or Marvel movie, but Disney has not revealed any future plans for the character at this time. Honestly, we’d take a cameo in the new Daredevil: Born Again series, if that’s what it takes.

We’ll keep an eye out for more Marvel news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
