Disney Is FINALLY Changing THIS Photoshoot Rule in Hollywood Studios

Ever take an embarrassing amount of photos, only to realize that your finger was blocking a part of the camera lens? That’s the WORST, right? Especially when you’re trying to quickly snap family photos in Disney World before your family runs away (because “the sun is in their eyes🙄). If only there was a professional you could ask!

Toy Story Land

Um, actually, there is! Disney offers a special service called Capture Your Moment, which gets you a 20-minute private photo session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer. It’s not cheap, but if you want quality, professional photos, this might be your best bet. Now, a NEW location has been added to Disney’s Capture Your Moment service — let’s take a look!

Back in 2022, Disney announced that its Capture Your Moment service would be added to Hollywood Studios. When the service first launched in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you could choose to have your photo taken at Hollywood Boulevard, Echo Lake, Sunset Boulevard, or “another beloved spot. For a while, there was one notable exception — Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was NOT offered as an option.

Well, that rule is finally changing! Beginning January 17th, you can book a 20-minute session to have your photos taken by a PhotoPass Cast Member in Galaxy’s Edge. Photo sessions will be offered daily during regular park hours starting January 24th. You can reserve a session up to 60 days in advance. Disney also shared that a limited number of same-day reservations may be available. You can check the My Disney Experience app during your visit.

So, what’s included? During your session, a PhotoPass photographer will travel around Galaxy’s Edge with you, taking photos at iconic landmarks like the Millennium Falcon, a First Order Shuttle, the market in Black Spire Outpost, and more. Oh, and you can even snap a few photos with PROPS — like a lightsaber!

A Capture Your Moment photo session is $99 and can include up to eight people. Note that photos are NOT included with the price of a session. You can purchase Memory Maker separately or opt to purchase photos individually. Annual Passholders with the Disney PhotoPass downloads perk can also receive the photos for free.
