About Disney Skyliner
The Disney Skyliner is an aerial gondola transportation system that opened at Walt Disney World in September 2019. It connects Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and four Disney resort hotels – Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resort. The gondola cabins seat up to 10 guests and many feature bright designs with Disney characters like Mickey Mouse as well as figures from popular Disney attractions and films. Some cabins have reflective panels and cross-ventilation to help with temperature control.
The Skyliner travels on three routes that intersect at a hub at Caribbean Beach Resort, allowing guests to transfer between routes. The routes connect Epcot to Pop Century/Art of Animation, Epcot to Caribbean Beach/Riviera, and Hollywood Studios to Pop Century/Art of Animation/Caribbean Beach. The typical ride time is 5-15 minutes depending on the route.
The Skyliner provides quick, fun transportation around Walt Disney World in addition to the existing buses, boats, and monorails. It helps reduce bus traffic to Epcot and Hollywood Studios for guests staying at the connected resorts. The system is subject to closures during high winds or thunderstorms. It does not connect directly to Magic Kingdom or Disney Springs at this time, though expansions are possible in the future.
