The Disney Parks are always changing and that includes perks, as well.
At the Disneyland Resort, hotel guests are afforded the perk of early entry into the parks. With this perk, guests staying at any official Disneyland Resort can enter the parks 30 minutes before they officially open. However, that policy is ABOUT TO CHANGE!
Early Entry at Disneyland is still somewhat in its infancy, as it began only a couple of years ago in August 2022. Up until now, the perk allowed early access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure and left it up to the guests to decide which park they wished to visit. That rule will change beginning January 20th, 2024.
Per Disney, “Starting January 20, 2024, the early entry benefit will be updated, and Guests with valid park admission and reservations who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels may take advantage of this 30-minute early entry into a designated theme park for every day of their hotel stay. Each day, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park will be open early. Please check the theme park calendar for the schedule.”
So while the perk is essentially still intact, the park that offers the perk will vary from day to day. This limitation will likely have the two parks alternating the perk each day and visitors will need to check the schedule beforehand online, over the phone, or via the Disneyland app.
Early Entry gives guests the opportunity to bypass some major morning crowds, but it doesn’t cover every single attraction. Here’s what’s included in the Disneyland Resort’s Early Entry policy:
