EPCOT has been through quite a few changes recently!
The park is almost done with a massive transformation that included new rides, restaurants, gift shops, and common spaces. Just back in December, we saw World Celebration (the area in the middle of the park) reopen to visitors, but construction in the front areas of the park isn’t quite done yet. And recently, there was another major change!
A few years ago when EPCOT kicked off the multi-year transformation and started putting up construction walls around the park, a new pathway was opened near Spaceship Earth. This pathway would lead you directly back from the front entrance area to The Seas with Nemo and Friends and the rest of World Nature.
We’ve used this path a LOT in the past few years, but now Disney has closed it off again! If you want to get to The Seas and that side of the park, there are some alternate routes.
The first is to walk up by Spaceship Earth and take the pathway that goes past Journey of Water and the new Moana meet and greet. This is probably the most direct route.
The other option is to go through World Celebration, then cut right in the middle of the park and walk past CommuniCore Hall (the big white building that’s still under construction). This path opens up in the middle of World Nature, directly across from The Land Pavilion.
Navigating EPCOT may be a little confusing right now, but we can’t wait to see what things look like when the rest of the construction is completed this year! Stay tuned to DFB for all the updates.
