DVC News has shared the layout of the new DVC Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The cabins actually already existed but have been refurbished to become a Disney Vacation Club resort.
DVC Cabins Floor Plan
The floor plan shows the bedroom will be about 11.2 feet by 12.5 feet. As seen in concept renderings, the bedroom will have a queen-size bed and bunk beds on the interior wall.
The great room is 12 feet by 19 feet. The living area will have a queen-size Murphy bed that pulls down over a sofa. A flat TV is mounted on the wall.
The dining area will have a table and seating for up to six guests. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, range, microwave, and sink. DVC News notes that marketing materials suggested the cabins would have a two-burner stove, but the concept art and floor plan indicate it will be a more traditional range with five burners.
A closet around the corner from the kitchen holds the hot water tank. There’s then a split bathroom about 12 feet by 9.6 feet in total. There is one vanity outside the main bathroom and a second vanity inside with a toilet and walk-in shower.
The wooden deck will be about 8 feet by 20 feet. While concept art only shows steps up to the deck, several cabins will also have a ramp. Each cabin will have a charcoal grill and parking.
We learned earlier this week that the cabins will be the first pet-friendly Disney Vacation Club resort.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are scheduled to open this summer.
