It’s no secret that Disney World can be expensive.
By the time you’ve booked the flight, reserved the hotel, and paid for the tickets, you’ve spent a LOT of money. When you get there, you then have to think about other expenses, like dining. Dining in Disney World can be expensive, but you know what? It doesn’t have to be. So we’re going to tell you a little story about a super cheap lunch in Disney World that could please everyone in your group.
So we’re going to tell you about the time we got the Turkey Sandwich Kid’s Pack. This little handy meal came from Pinocchio Village Haus and only set us back $7.79. If you have three people in your party, that’s less than $30 to feed everyone.
This is what you get in the pack: Sliced Roasted Turkey Breast and Cheddar on Honey-Wheat Bread with Apple Chips, Cucumber, and Grape Tomatoes. Yes, it’s labeled as a Kid’s meal, but as you can get it at pretty much any counter service restaurant, adults can buy it, too. There’s also a Ham and Cheese version.
Okay, so what did we think about this super cheap meal? Well, it actually surprised us. You might expect a sandwich in something like this to be stale by the time you get it, but we found it to be pretty fresh. Even the bread tasted fresh. The honey-wheat flavor came through really well, too. You also get mustard and mayo so you can dress your sandwich up however you want, which comes in handy because the rest is just a turkey and cheese sandwich.
We also loved that it came with fruit and veggies, which also makes it a relatively healthy option, too (something you don’t often find at this price point). We found the grapes and vegetables to be fresh, too, which…again…surprised us.
So this is a good option for both adults AND kids, but an adult might want to know if it’s filling. Well, we thought so, and it’s especially good if you’re looking for a lighter and more on the go option. Also, because it’s so cheap, it might leave some room in your budget later for dessert.
It wasn’t the most interesting thing we’ve ever had in Magic Kingdom, but if you’re looking to save some money on food while you’re visiting the park, just know that we’ve approved of it. Also, don’t forget to ask for your free cup of water, too, to be even more frugal!
