So, we all know that the weather in Disney World is notoriously finicky.
If we’re talking weird weather in Florida, we usually hear about those random rainstorms that pop up in the middle of a perfectly sunny day or the heat (and y’all, it can get SO HOT in Florida). But you don’t hear much about cold weather in Florida, but believe it or not, it can get cold!
If you live somewhere outside of Florida, you might have a hard time feeling any sympathy for the folks in Florida (in fact, some of the DFB team lives in places where the high is forecasted to be between 19-22 degrees). But we do have to admit that when it’s cold in Disney World, it really does feel COLD. So it’s currently 58 degrees in Disney World, but that temperature is dropping into the 40s.
Look out for falling temps!

Again, that might not seem so cold compared to where you live, but this is a damp, Florida cold, and trust us, if you’re not prepared for it, it will leave you shivering on your Disney World trip. Also, you have to consider the wind chill, which will make it feel like it’s in the 30s. BRR!
Heads up friends, we have a pretty good chill moving in tonight.

So JUST how cold is it? Well, Blizzard Beach, one of Disney World’s water parks, is currently closed for the entire weekend due to the cooler temperatures.
This is why we tell you to ALWAYS check the weather before a Disney World trip and keep checking it right up until the day you leave. You’ll want to pack those sweaters, sweatshirts, and even coats if you want to stay comfortable in the parks. Got hats, scarves, and gloves? Pack them. The best rule of thumb is to dress in layers so that if it does warm up, you can begin taking layers off.Â
Will you still see people in the parks in shorts? Yes, yes, you will, and they will regret it. Don’t be those people. Prepare for cold weather in Disney World, especially this time of year when it’s the coolest. The good news is that it won’t stay cold forever. We’ve got some lovely temperatures forecast for the rest of this week.
Big chill for us this weekend, but we do take a bit of a milder turn into next week…
