Disney recently announced that construction will begin this year on an all-new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member lounge at Walt Disney World Resort. This lounge will provide a dedicated space for DVC members to relax and recharge during their visit. While details are still limited, this will be the third DVC lounge at Walt Disney World, joining the existing lounges at the Imagination! pavilion in Epcot and the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower.
Location
The location of the new DVC lounge has not yet been revealed. Based on the existing lounges, it could potentially be located near attractions in one of the theme parks or at a DVC resort hotel. Some Disney fans have speculated that unused spaces like the old Imagination theater in Epcot or the former Camera Center shop on Main Street, U.S.A. could be repurposed.
Features
Though specifics are unknown at this time, the lounge will likely offer amenities similar to the current DVC lounges:
- Comfortable seating
- Complimentary soft drinks
- Charging stations
- WiFi
- Children’s entertainment area
- DVC Member Services cast members to assist guests
There may also be special features unique to the new lounge.
Benefits
As a DVC member lounge, only DVC members and up to 5 of their guests will have access. To enter, members must present a valid DVC Membership Card and photo ID. In addition to the lounge’s features, it will provide members a place to take a break without leaving the parks. This can enhance the park experience by allowing time to recharge before continuing the fun.
Opening Date
While construction is set to begin sometime in 2024, an opening date has not been announced. More details will be shared here as the lounge gets closer to completion. The new DVC lounge continues the expansion of membership benefits and exclusive member areas at Walt Disney World.
