If you’re visiting EPCOT, you may want to head to the Germany Pavilion, as a brand-new Germany Souvenir Stein just dropped.
Germany Souvenir Stein – $19-$20.75
The thick plastic stein is designed to look like a vintage German stein with details from the EPCOT Germany Pavilion.
The front includes the phrase “herzlich willkommen,” which translates to “warm welcome.” “Germany” is written under that. The statue of St. George and the Dragon that can be found in the pavilion is at the center of the stein. In the background is the layout of the pavilion. At the very top is a Mickey Head-shaped pretzel.
The Germany Pavilion shops and their goods are referenced throughout the stein. On one side, you’ll find a cuckoo clock for Volkskunst, grapes and wine for Weinkeller, and a pastry and candy apple for Karamell-Küche.
On the opposite side, you’ll find a Christmas tree for Die Weihnachts Ecke, three teddy bears for Der Teddybar, and three soccer balls the represent the sportswear found at Das Kaufhaus.
Along the bottom reads “EPCOT World Showcase.”
The top of the stein features an ornate clock that is a replica of the clock tower that can be found between Biergarten and Sommerfest.
Both sides of the clock have the same scene of two children ringing a bell, just like the figurings that pop out on the hour inside of the pavilion.
The top can be opened and closed via a tab above the handle.
The souvenir stein is available to purchase at Sommerfest or the various carts within the pavilion. It comes with one of three different beer options, each a 24-oz draft. The beer traditionally comes poured into the stein, but you can ask for it to poured into a separate cup, like we did. You can choose from:
- Beck’s Pilsner $19 – German Pilsner-style Lager, with a full bodied taste, fresh hoppy bouquet, golden color, and full rich foam head
- Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen $20.25 – Easy and refreshing with light notes of citrus and spice with low bitterness
- Warsteiner Dunkel $20.75 – Classic German-style dark pilsner that has a deep chestnut brown hue with a smooth, toasty
