NEW ‘The Mandalorian’ Grogu Ear Headband, Spirit Jersey, and Loungefly Backpack Arrive at Walt Disney World

New products featuring the adorable Grogu from “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ have arrived at Walt Disney World Resort.

We found the new Grogu ear headband, Spirit Jersey, and Loungefly mini backpack in the Emporium and Disney Clothiers at Magic Kingdom.

Grogu Ear Headband – $34.99

These are traditional Minnie Mouse ears, but previous Grogu ear headbands have had ears shaped like his own pointy ears.

The ears and headband of this product are made of a soft, light green fabric. The bow between the ears is made of a white sherpa fabric, inspired by the collar of Grogu’s cloak.

A patch on the center of the bow depicts Grogu in a cutesy cartoon style with one hand out as he uses the Force. The patch is embroidered with green, white, black, and brown thread.

Grogu was introduced as an unnamed creature in the first episode of “The Mandalorian.” He became an instant fan-favorite “Star Wars” character. Before his name was revealed, Disney and Lucasfilm officially referred to him as “The Child,” while fans called him “Baby Yoda,” as he’s the same species as Yoda. The name of the species has never been revealed.

The edge of the right ear is embroidered with small white stars and two white butterflies. Grogu interacts with blue butterflies on the planet Tython in the second season of “The Mandalorian.” These butterflies usually represent the Light Side of the Force in “Star Wars” canon.

The edge of the other ear is embroidered with more white stars and, oddly, an image of the Death Star. Grogu has no connection to the Death Star, although it is mentioned a couple of times in “The Mandalorian.” Both Death Stars were destroyed before the events of the series.

The backs of the ears and the headband itself feature no designs.

Grogu Spirit Jersey – $79.99

There have been multiple Grogu Spirit Jerseys in the years since the character’s debut. The first was bright green, inspired by Grogu’s green skin. Another was tie-dye with “Grogu” on the back. This Spirit Jersey is light brown, reminiscent of Grogu’s cloak.

Grogu is pictured on the chest. It’s the same image from the patch on the ear headband. The character’s own cloak is a different shade of brown from the jersey so it stands out.

The Death Star is in gray near the hem of the jersey. A swirl of white four-pointed stars goes from the Death Star up to Grogu.

The Death Star is pictured on the ear headband and Spirit Jersey in a minimalist style as a simple circle with a large block dot and line through its center.

“Star Wars” is across the back in white blocky lettering with more stars around the words. These are made of puffy screen printing ink that slightly pops out of the jersey for a dimensional look. The back of Grogu’s head is below “Star Wars,” directly behind the front of his head on the chest of the jersey.

If you can’t make it to Magic Kingdom, this Spirit Jersey is also available for purchase on shopDisney.

Glow-in-the-Dark ‘The Mandalorian’ Loungefly Mini Backpack – $88

The matching Loungefly mini backpack has a black base with silver accents around the zippers and side pockets. Like most Loungefly bags, it’s made of pleather with metal zippers. The design on the front is inspired by the Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter, the spaceship he bought to replace his destroyed Razor Crest.

Grogu is pictured on the top front of the bag. It’s the same image from the ears and Spirit Jersey, but put into context. He’s in the domed droid control center of the ship, where he often sits when traveling.

Din Djarin, a.k.a. the Mandalorian and Grogu’s adopted father, is pictured on the front pocket in the ship’s pilot seat. The pocket is curved like the domed glass roof of the cockpit.

The slip pockets on the sides of the bag feature four-pointed stars. One slip pocket has a black “Star Wars” and Loungefly plaque, set against a silver square patch. The two zip-up pockets have silvertone hardware.

The other side pocket features the minimalist image of the Death Star.

The backpack straps are made of pleather padded sections and fabric sections, connected with metal rings. The pleather part is black and patterned with stars, while the fabric part is solid silver. The bag also has a silver top handle.

The back of the bag is mostly solid black. There’s an image of Grogu and “Mando” on the bottom right corner. Mando is pictured in profile while Grogu is in front of him looking directly at you. A handful of stars are around them.

As part of his creed, the Mandalorian is rarely seen without his helmet on. Pedro Pascal voices the character and sometimes dons the armor, but Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder also portray the Mandalorian as body doubles, with Pascal’s voice added in post production.

The interior lining of the backpack features an all-over pattern of stars and images of Grogu.

“The Mandalorian” season three aired in the spring of 2023. It was the most-watched original streaming show of the year. A fourth season was in development but so is a movie. It’s not yet clear if the movie will replace season four or be in addition to it. The movie title, “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” was announced earlier this month.
