First Official Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Pin Arrives at Disneyland Resort

After debuting yesterday at Walt Disney World, the first official Tiana’s Bayou Adventure pin has made its way to Disneyland Resort.

We found the pin available for purchase in 20th Century Music Company on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park.

Limited Release Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Pin $17.99

The pin itself is a depiction of Tiana’s crown resting atop a magenta pillow with golden-toned tassels. A large green gem sits in the center of the crown.

The pin comes packaged in plastic wrapping and attached to a large backing card with concept art for the upcoming attraction, drawn by Brittany L. Smith, a Senior Production Designer — Specialty Design for Walt Disney Imagineering.

The included illustrations feature the pin’s design, Tiana’s Palace, a necklace sitting on a bust, and a large image of Tiana as a toddler, holding a paper crown above her head and looking into a mirror — only to see her adult self wearing the tiara included in the pin.

A reporter shows the back of the pin's backing card.

A biography for Smith is included on the back of the card, detailing her work with Imagineering.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens this year at both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom.

PHOTOS: Reimagined Disneyland Hotel Now Reopened to Guests at Disneyland Paris

Today is the day: Disneyland Paris has reopened the doors to the Disneyland Hotel following its complete reimagining to celebrate Disney royalty.

Disneyland Hotel Reopens at Disneyland Paris

The newly renovated grand lobby of the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris.

Upon entering the grand lobby, guests will find themselves immersed in architecture inspired by the libraries of French castles, with shades of ivory and gold spread throughout the decor. Hanging high above is a Bohemian crystal chandelier representing Sleeping Beauty Castle, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant.

Along the wood and marble mezzanine, guests can find 15 exclusive dioramas that pay tribute to how Walt Disney and his fellow artists used the multiplane camera to deepen their storytelling through animation.

Guests will be welcomed into the hotel by a Royal Greeter, and can even catch La Troupe Royale Disney, a comedic duo who perform surprise sing-alongs or interactive tales. The troupe is also accompanied by a Disney Princess, like Cinderella, Rapunzel, or Jasmine.

One of the Rapunzel-themed rooms.

The Disneyland Hotel offers 487 rooms and suites with all-new interiors inspired by Disney Princess films, including:

  • “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
  • “Cinderella”
  • “Sleeping Beauty”
  • “The Little Mermaid”
  • “Beauty and the Beast”
  • “Aladdin”
  • “The Princess and the Frog”
  • “Tangled”
  • “Frozen”
  • “Moana”
  • “Raya and the Last Dragon”

Throughout each themed room, guests will find references to each of the princesses and their stories. The rooms even have a magic mirror that “transforms” into an Ultra HD TV.

A Moana-themed Deluxe Room.

In addition to dedicated check-in and concierge services and exclusive access to the Deluxe Lounge, guests staying in the Deluxe Room can enjoy “special enchantments” in their room, including an illuminated animated canopy above the bed and exclusive artwork.

A view from the Castle Club Lounge.

Also part of the reimagined Disneyland Hotel is The Castle Club, an “exclusive hotel within the hotel,” which includes 41 Castle Club rooms, 16 Signature Suites, one Princely Suite, and one Royal Suite. Staying at The Castle Club offers guests a private elevator, a dedicated check-in area, and all-new, upgraded living amenities. Guests staying in these rooms also have access to the Castle Club Lounge, where they can enjoy breakfast with Disney Princesses.

The 16 Signature Suites, the Princely Suite, and the Royal Suite all offer decor and design elements inspired by Disney royalty, as well as luxury amenities like walk-in closets and spa bathtubs. Above is a photo of one of the Cinderella Signature Suites.

The Princely Suite takes inspiration from the live-action 2017 retelling of “Beauty and the Beast,” with baroque decor throughout.

The Royal Suite transports guests straight into Elsa’s Ice Palace from “Frozen,” as the bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen, and dining room are all decked out in her “ice magic.”

An ice chandelier hangs overhead in the living area, which comes complete with a balcony that overlooks Disneyland Park and views of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

At The Royal Kids Club, the youngest royals can become part of the story. This club is designed to be a magical library, where kids can take part in interactive and augmented reality (AR) experiences. Families can also book a Disney Royal Encounter to meet and take photos with a Disney Princess like Snow White, Jasmine, or Ariel.

A chef stands at attention in The Royal Banquet Buffet Restaurant.

As for dining, guests can enjoy The Royal Banquet Buffet Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as they dine among a gallery of portraits depicting Disney royals and villains. Here, guests will also be able to meet and dine with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends for lunch and dinner, wearing new and exclusive royal attire.

Belle and her Prince greet a family in La Table de Lumiere.

At La Table de Lumiere, guests can enjoy table-service dinner in a restaurant that pays homage to the ballroom scene from “Beauty and the Beast.” The menu features French fine dining and a large selection of wine and champagne. Guests can also enjoy the meal in the company of royal Disney couples, including Belle and her Prince, Aurora and Prince Phillip, or Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. Dinner is only available to Disneyland Hotel guests upon reservation.

Snacks and drinks can be found at Fleur de Lys Bar, open all day long, in addition to the Deluxe Lounge and Castle Club Lounge.

A collection of Disneyland Hotel merchandise.

Disneyland Hotel exclusive merchandise can be found in the Royal Collection Boutique, with items that pull inspiration from the hotel itself, as well as the Disney royalty that inspired its reimagining.

The reopening of Disneyland Hotel marks a new milestone in the transformation of Disneyland Paris, extending our legacy as a leader in the European tourism industry with a unique blend of storytelling and service excellence, not to mention our exceptional capacity to welcome families.

We are thrilled to unveil this one-of-a-kind five-star property celebrating beloved Disney royalty, which represents one of the most immersive hotels in Europe today.

NEWS: Disney and DeSantis’s District Will Go to Trial in June for Public Records Lawsuit

If you’ve been following along with The Walt Disney Company news at all for the past year or so, then you’ve probably heard about the ongoing battle between Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Reedy Creek

Disney and DeSantis’s Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board have been fighting for control over Disney’s special tax district. DeSantis stripped Disney of rights over the former Reedy Creek Improvement District after Disney publicly opposed the governor’s decision to pass the Parental Rights in Education Act. Disney then claimed that this was a violation of federal rights, arguing that there had been a “relentless campaign to weaponize government power” against Disney to punish them for their political views. Since then, DeSantis filed a lawsuit against Disney to attempt to undo agreements made between Disney and the former Reedy Creek Improvement District. From there, things get pretty complicated.

Disney then subpoenaed internal communications records from DeSantis’s office, and requested that these items be delivered no later than October 27th, 2023. Disney has claimed that DeSantis’s office never submitted the records, and filed a lawsuit because of that. Then, Disney filed a separate lawsuit, saying that DeSantis violated Florida’s public record law “by failing to properly preserve documents and turn them over in a timely manner, opening another front in an ongoing legal feud.”

Now, per the Orlando Sentinel, DeSantis and his Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board agreed on January 25th to a June 24th trial date for Disney’s public record lawsuit against them. Here’s what the trial timeline will look like:

  • February 23: Amended pleadings and motions
  • April 12: Completion of facts and expert discovery
  • March 1: Written discovery
  • Mid-to-late March: Mediation (if necessary or agreed to)
  • June 17: Pre-trail meeting
  • June 24: Trial begins

Disney vs. DeSantis

We have a feeling that this is by no means a step toward the end of the battle, as this is still a separate lawsuit than the ongoing issues between the two parties. Nonetheless, we’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more.
