A new billboard-like sign has been installed on the back of the building where guests can meet Baymax in San Fransokyo Square at Disney California Adventure. The sign is visible when entering the “Big Hero 6” land from Cars Land.
The sign is blue with white Japanese characters and English letters. Arrows crisscross along the bottom and center of the sign. It actually closely resembles a real road sign from Japan.
In Japan, the arrows would represent roads pointing drivers to different cities. The San Fransokyo Square sign points guests to Cocina Cucamonga, Aunt Cass Café, San Fransokyo Maker’s Market, and Lucky Fortune Cookery.
San Fransokyo Square is the reimagined Pacific Wharf area of Disney California Adventure. It officially opened last summer but signage and other details have still been added in the months since. The “Port of San Fransokyo” sign wasn’t installed until November.

Disneyland Paris just debuted their newly reimagined Disneyland Hotel, Tokyo Disneyland is working on Fantasy Springs, and Shanghai Disney has opened a whole new Zootopia land. One of these parks is also getting a new nighttime spectacular show that we’re WILDLY jealous of!
Disney has just announced that Tokyo Disney will be getting a new nighttime spectacular on September 20th, 2024! This new show will bring Pixar, Disney animated characters, and, for the first time, Marvel characters to Cinderella Castle using pyrotechnics, lights, and special effects.

That’s about all Disney can share with us right now as they continue to develop this show and get it ready for its debut in just 8 months! While lots of fans in the comments on social media are excited about this new show, many U.S.-based fans are sad it’s something they’ll likely never see.

Disney’s announcement also came out around the same time Universal Orlando announced massive news about their new park, Epic Universe which will feature over 50 experiences and 5 new lands to explore. Have you ever been to an After Hours event in Disney World?
Magic Kingdom After Hours
If you’re a big “run and ride” kind of Disney fan, these types of events are MADE for you. You purchase a ticket and come into the parks in the evening, then you get a few hours after it closes to enjoy several attractions with incredibly low wait times. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, then we have an important update!
A few weeks ago, Disney announced that they’d be adding more After Hours dates to the calendar for 2024. Here’s a look at the new dates for After Hours events in each park:
Mickey in Hollywood Studios!
The events will take place on select nights each week, and if you’re interested in purchasing tickets, they’re now available online! As of January 31st, all Disney World visitors can purchase After Hours tickets for April and later dates.
Let’s PARTY!
Tickets vary in price depending on which park you visit and which date you choose, but EPCOT After Hours starts at $149 per person, Hollywood Studios After Hours starts at $145 per person, and Magic Kingdom After Hours starts at $165 per person.

Outside of the short ride lines, there are other big perks to going to an After Hours event. Included with your ticket are complimentary snacks and drinks — popcorn, ice cream novelties, and bottled beverages from snack carts around the parks. At Hollywood Studios, the event included some rare character sightings, and at Magic Kingdom, we got to see TWO fireworks shows in one night, as they showed Disney Enchantment during the event and Happily Ever After beforehand.

Valentine’s Day is officially around the corner! As Disney World locals, we’re always on the lookout for cute date night spots or places to have a gal’s brunch within the Disney bubble. We’re pleased to say that we’ve found restaurant specials fit for the occasion!
Disney World is slowly rolling out Valentine’s Day-inspired treats, snacks, and beverages, with certain Disney Springs restaurants offering Valentine’s Day exclusive meals!
We got word that these three restaurants in Disney Springs are offering special items and even entire menus in celebration of Valentine’s Day and we think they’re perfect for however you plan to celebrate this year! Kicking it off with:
The newly opened Summer House on the Lake will offer an entire Valentine’s Day menu from February 14th-February 18th!

Dishes include Cracked Jonah Crab Claws, Hearts of Palm and Key West Pink Shrimp Salad, and Florida Lobster Risotto! For dessert, guests can indulge in Chocolate Cake served with a raspberry mousse and sweetheart bark!

This is such an exciting limited addition to their already stacked menu! We love the seafood-heavy influence of their Valentine’s Day menu, it simply gives off perfect Valentine’s vibes and we’re here for it. We’d also like to mention that the evening atmosphere of Summer House is incredibly intimate, which just adds to the theming.
Jaleo is running an amazing deal for Valentine’s Day on top of featuring a ton of incredible menu items! For Valentine’s Day, guests at Jaleo can enjoy any bottle of wine for half the price!

Chicken Guy! is taking a trip to Flavortown with their latest menu addition for Valentine’s Day! We know that Chicken Guy! has no shortage of delicious milkshakes and treat offerings and they’re releasing what we think is a hit for Valentine’s Day! The Oreo Strawberry Cheesecake Shake will be available until March 31st.

The shake is a “blend of hand-spun vanilla soft serve, cheesecake, strawberries, and crushed OREO®cookies, topped with fresh whipped cream, more crushed OREO®cookies and strawberry syrup.” This sounds absolutely incredible and we’re thankful that this will be available after Valentine’s Day is over!
