Several days ago, the Frontierland restrooms near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were closed due to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction. The restrooms are located in the exit queue for the ride that was formerly Splash Mountain. These restrooms JUST reopened on January 23rd, but now another set of facilities is out of commission!
Under construction
During a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we noticed that the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms are now closed! These bathrooms are located right next to the restaurant, serving both the dining location and a large section of Fantasyland.
They’re closed!
According to the sign on the construction walls, the bathrooms are under refurbishment. If you’re in need of nearby facilities, your best options will be the restrooms near Gaston’s Tavern, the Tangled-themed restrooms next to “it’s a small world,” or the restrooms next to Cheshire Cafe.
Informational sign
We’ll keep you updated if any other facilities go under refurbishment in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB. We’ve got all the tips for navigating the parks!
Oh boy, planning a Disney trip can be quite the adventure, and we totally get it! But fear not, dear friends, we compiled EVERYTHING you need (and the things to avoid!) to plan the ULTIMATE Disney vacation.
Whether you’re a rookie or a seasoned pro, our insider tips and tricks will have you exploring the parks like never before. So come along with us, and get planning your most magical vacation ever!
Which Magic Kingdom bathrooms are your favorite? Tell us in the comments!
Disney previously said this new ride would open in “late 2024,” but recent announcements have omitted the “late” language and just left “2024,” leaving us to think it could open sooner rather than later! Now, NEW merchandise themed to the ride has popped up in Disney World, which just gets us even more excited!
On January 23rd, we spotted not one but TWO souvenirs that are themed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The first is this new pin at Frontier Trading Post.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Pin
The pin shows Tiana’s tiara on a purple pillow. The tiara is studded with green gems. The card inside the package has concept art pictures themed to Tiana’s story along with the logo for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. You can get it for $17.99.
Frontier Trading Post
The next item we spotted was this new popcorn bucket! On the part of the bucket that’s themed to Magic Kingdom, you’ll see Princess Tiana herself along with the water tower that’s located at the ride.
See the water tower?
Here’s a look at that water tower!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
This popcorn bucket costs $13 and is available at various popcorn stands throughout the parks. So far, we’ve seen it at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
IT’S SO CUTE
Disney has shared that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will pick up the story of The Princess and the Frog “after the final kiss,” and guests will “join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.”
So, what exactly DOES happen “after the final kiss”? Well, when the film itself ends, Princess Tiana makes her dream come true when she opens her very own restaurant, Tiana’s Palace (just like the one that opened in Disneyland last year)!
The story of the attraction, as Disney shares, picks up during New Orleans’ Carnival season, and Tiana is hosting a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans — the community that has supported her successful restaurant. (The storyline is set about a year after the movie.) But Tiana realized that the party is missing a key ingredient and she needs help finding it!
So visitors will join Tiana to help locate the missing ingredient! Disney Imagineers have shared that guests will be active participantscoming along with Tiana on this adventure! “On Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we’ll join Tiana and Louis on a trip to the bayou, where they meet all sorts of unexpected new friends who have a special role to play at the party.”

Disney food has always been our obsession, but we have acquired a new fascination — McDonald’s Happy Meal toys.
McDonald’s Happy Meal
We collected tons of the Disney100 Happy Meal toys, grabbed a Squishmallow toy, and picked up a Kerwin Frost Box for a nuggie buddy! We have become fans of the red and yellow kids’ meals (because, you know, food), but even more fixated on the cute little toys that come in them. Now that the Squishmallow toys have left the boxes, what has replaced them?!
We didn’t think they could make a Happy Meal toy cuter than the Squishmallows.
The Hamburgler Squishmallow
But it appears that McDonald’s might have done just that! The newest Happy Meal toy theme is “Adopt Me!” You can get one of six animal friends including a penguin, chipmunk, puppy, unicorn, lion, and dragon!
Not only are these little guys adorable, they are customizable! When you open the box it comes in, you get a booklet, sticker sheet, info card, and the animal itself.
Each of the animals comes with unique stickers and multiple eye options. You can make each one all your own! While we realize we’re adults, the videos on the McDonald’s Happy Meal website may have convinced us we need all six of them.

Lunar New Year Festival has returned to Disney California Adventure through February 18 with three souvenir specialty items: the returning Lotus Flower glow cube plus the new Mushu tumbler and Mickey Macaron straw clip.
The Lotus Flower Glow Cube is returning in the same bright blue as 2023 for $5.69.
Year of the Dragon Stainless Steel Mushu Tumbler – $27.99
Includes choice of fountain beverage, coffee, hot tea, or hot cocoa at time of purchase
The tumbler has a red background with cloud-like shapes. Mushu is in the center of the main design with his name below him and “Year of the Dragon” above him.
There are paper lanterns down two of the sides in shades of red, yellow, pink, and blue.
The tumbler is neither dishwasher- nor microwave-safe.
The Disney California Adventure logo is in golden lettering on the side opposite Mushu.
The tumbler comes with a removable carrier. It attaches to the top, as pictured above.
The lanyard carries the same iconography as the tumbler.
It has a slide closure for the clear lid.
Mickey-shaped Macaron Straw Clip – $7.19
This straw clip is designed like the iconic Strawberry Milk Tea macaron, which you can find this year at Bamboo Blessings.
It comes with a golden straw but is attached with a matching lobster clip, so you can move it to another straw (or applicable attachment).
It matches the macaron from the bright red cookie to the golden stripe across the diagonal.
It’s a semi-squishy foam and has a pink filling.
The back of the macaron, much like its real-life counterpart, is plain.
