Refurbishment is underway for the Astro Orbitor in Disneyland Park, and, in the latest update, much of the attraction has been removed.
The vast majority of the attraction, including the ride vehicles, and the tower of planets at the center of the ride, has been removed for the refurbishment process.
All that’s currently left of the ride is the base, which is covered in plastic.
So far, the stationary planets that surround the attraction remain in place.
For reference, here’s what the Astro Orbitor looked like in November of 2023, when the ride first went down for refurbishment. Per a sign on the construction walls, the Tomorrowland attraction is set to reopen in winter 2024. Speaking of construction walls, the refurbishment hit a minor snag in late 2023, when signage on the walls featured incorrect information about the Walt Disney World iteration of the attraction, Astro Orbiter.
