Most of the work happening to the new DreamWorks land at Universal Studios Florida is hidden behind construction walls, but we can see a few new additions around the area being built at Universal Studios Florida
DreamWorks Land Construction
The top of Shrek’s tree stump home is difficult to hide as it towers over the construction walls, but a sharp eye might spot even more changes to this new land.
Shrek’s swamp is really taking shape. The tree stump has gotten some detailed sculpting on the inside and now a few more additions have appeared around the base.
The top of a broken tree is visible to the left of the main structure.
The tree trunk looks freshly painted and detailed. It appears to be placed on top of something. It’s going to be exciting to see this area coming to life as Shrek’s swamp.
It’s difficult to see in this photo, but there is a small brown rooftop visible to the right that might be an outhouse.
Behind the yellow and green Trollercoaster track, the roof over the load platform has been painted. Previously, this roof had bright blue and red patches, but new colors have been added.
If you look closely, you can see a light red or orange color at the corner of the roof that fades out into yellow and then blue. It looks a bit like tie-dye or part of a flower or sun. The bright colors of the roof match the anticipated Trolls theme perfectly.
This new DreamWorks-themed area is expected to open sometime this year, but no official announcements or dates have been announced yet.
Stay tuned for more updates and let us know in the comments if you’re looking forward to the new DreamWorks land at Universal Studios Florida!
