While recently visiting Disneyland Park, we spotted that the CenTOONial Park Fountain in Mickey’s Toontown is once again experiencing issues.
CenTOONial Park Fountain Elements Already Broken
The fountain includes multiple water tables for kids to splash around it, with interactive elements like lily pads and jumping fountains.
One jumping fountain in particular, normally styled to look like a clamshell, has come off. The fountain is still operational, albeit much less themed.
With the clamshell gone, we also saw that underneath the element was a water jet made out of 3D-printed filament. Based on the other clamshell jets, it looks like the filament is usually concealed by a white, pearl-like cover.
The CenTOONial Park Fountain has opened and closed frequently since Mickey’s Toontown reopened to the public following its reimagining in March 2023. From reported issues with the pH of the water, new elements added months after opening, and even water jets being added after the fact, this fountain has been through a lot. It most recently went down for refurbishment in September 2023, and reopened to guests in October.
Mickey’s Toontown has also seen extensive refurbishment since its initial reopening, with various temporary closures to refresh the land’s artificial turf, new and repaired additions to Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard, and work on the water play area of Donald’s Duck Pond.
We toured the land when it initially reopened to guests in 2023:
