It appears refurbishment on the United Kingdom Pavilion restrooms in EPCOT is nearing completion, as construction walls have been removed and replaced with rolling planters.
Construction Walls Come Down in United Kingdom Pavilion
The walls that covered the restroom entrance are now gone, with only a row of rolling planters in their place. However, the restrooms remain closed. An A-frame sign directing guests to the nearest open restrooms has been placed along the walkway.
For reference, above is a photo taken in June of 2023 when the refurbishment began.
These restrooms are located adjacent to The Crown & Crest, a gift shop in the United Kingdom Pavilion. During its closure, the World ShowPlace restrooms located between the United Kingdom and Canada Pavilions have been open for guest use.
This small garden area was also covered by the construction walls. Stakes are currently in place to support two newly planted trees.
The fountain, which was first turned off at the start of the restroom refurbishment, remains off for now.
Over on the opposite side of the pavilion, scaffolding remains on the facades that face the front garden. Guests are unable to visit this area while work is being done. Additionally, the back door to The Tea Caddy, the pavilion’s tea shop, is locked but the shop remains open.
Thus far, it appears the refurbishment is only for the exterior of the buildings, and will probably include a refreshed paint job.
During our visit to EPCOT today, we spotted crews inside painting.
In another recent update from EPCOT, the shortcut that took guests from the park’s main entrance and Spaceship Earth to The Seas Pavilion has now closed.
