A portion of the Jungle Cruise queue at Magic Kingdom is now blocked by construction walls, presumably for a refurbishment of the queue’s flooring. Walt Disney World has entered a slow season after the holidays, so they can do more refurbishment work without significantly disrupting guests. During the holidays, Jungle Cruise operated as Jingle Cruise, but the overlay ended this month.

The faux stonework appears to be fully repaired.
The netting and scrim have been removed from the outside of the temple as well.
Jungle Cruise Queue Construction
Jungle Cruise is located at the bottom of stairs and ramps along a river in Adventureland. In 2021 and 2022, the ride was reimagined slightly. It received a new backstory featuring the character Alberta Falls and new scenes, as well as updates to make it more culturally sensitive.
The construction walls begin near the Alberta Falls mural at the front of the queue. The walls wrap from that corner around into the queue behind the mural. The walls are brown and short — they are easy for guests walking by to see over.
This blocked section of the queue is usually where guests using wheelchairs would enter. They are being redirected around the walls during construction. Jungle Cruise has a wheelchair-accessible boat or guests can transfer from their wheelchair/scooter into a seat on the ride.
Behind the construction walls, brown tarps cover the floor of the queue. Tarps also hang from the backs of the construction walls. The construction area runs right up to the fence along the edge of the queue separating the line from the dock.
The original Jungle Cruise was an opening day attraction at Disneyland Park on July 17, 1955. It was originally a more educational boat ride akin to Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It eventually grew into the punny adventure it is today. Jungle Cruise was also an opening day ride at Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971; Tokyo Disneyland on April 15, 1983; and Hong Kong Disneyland on September 12, 2005.
At Magic Kingdom, there is Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, a Jungle Cruise-themed restaurant that opened in 2015. Last fall, the Skipper Canteen menu was updated to reflect the ride’s recent changes. Read a Skipper Canteen review.
