PHOTOS: Pinocchio Village Haus Restrooms Finally Closed for Refurbishment in Magic Kingdom

The Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom are now closed for refurbishment. A months-long update to the restrooms was originally scheduled for early 2023 but never happened.

The restrooms are located in a corner between the restaurant and a castle wall. Construction walls now block the double archway entrance to the restrooms.

The walls go through the right-hand archway, leaving a gap to walk through, but a pair of stanchions with a rope blocks the opening. The water fountains are also closed for the refurbishment project. There is a water fountain inside the restroom with a built-in water bottle filler.

Assuming the previously scheduled refurbishment will come to fruition, the women’s restroom will be expanded from 16 to 25 stalls, and the men’s restroom will go from four stalls to nine. There will be more sinks and more accessible stalls.

The restrooms will also be themed with wood-style trusses and arches matching the interior of Pinocchio Village Haus. Plastic folding “baby change” stations will be replaced with permanent counters.

A map of Fantasyland mounted on the construction walls points guests to the restrooms near Gaston’s Tavern or “it’s a small world.”

Inside Pinocchio Village Haus, the door exiting into the small restroom courtyard is blocked by a rope and stanchion.
