Here’s a question for you: what kinds of wild new treats do you think those mad Disney food scientists will dream up in the future? We’ve seen everything from squid cocktails to pickle milkshakes, so nothing is off-limits in the world of Disney foods. 

We may not have a crystal ball, but we can visit Tomorrowland for a little futuristic fun. Oh, and we can also try the NEW snacks at a popular quick-service location! Hope you’re not hungry because this post might tempt you to go grab a snack.

Over at Disneyland Resort’s Galactic Grill, there are some NEW breakfast items, and (SPOILER ALERT) they both feature some of our FAVORITE treats with a fun twist!

What do you get when you combine a classic entree with a unique side dish? You get an A+ in our book! Disney blew our minds with this one: FUNNEL CAKE FRIES, people. Need we say more? The NEW Chicken Tenders and Funnel Cake Fries are served with house-made maple sauce. They are available for $12.99.

Listen, we’ve had many chicken tenders in our time. We’ve had Cosmic Ray’s tenders, Chicken Guy! tenders, and every kind of chicken tender in between. We know what a good chicken tender tastes like, and this is it. Our tenders were nice and crispy with moist, juicy chicken. As you may know, we’re big sauce people around here, and the sweet maple sauce took these to the next level.

To the person who created this combination of funnel cake, fried chicken, and maple sauce, THANK YOU. The crispy chicken strips and maple sauce went together perfectly! The funnel cake fries were sweet and slightly crunchy but soft and doughy inside — just how we like our funnel cake. The fries were also topped with a light dusting of powdered sugar that gave us the perfect hit of sweetness. If you’re looking for a sweet and savory breakfast option, give this a try!

Of course, we had to grab a drink to wash all that food down, so we tried the new Chocolate Cinnamon Comet Cold Brew. It’s made with Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, hazelnut syrup, and a cinnamon chocolate cream cold foam. Of course, this drink’s real claim to fame is that big churro topping. YUM! You can grab this one for $6.79.

We are happy to report that this was another winner! The strongest flavor here is (unsurprisingly) the cold brew. But each sip also gave us a spiced cinnamon aftertaste with a hint of chocolatey flavor. Honestly, we weren’t really getting any hazelnut flavors here. Oh, and fair warning — the churro isn’t the same as the classic Disneyland churros you can buy at various snack carts. Instead, ours was a little harder and didn’t have as much of that sweet cinnamon flavor as a classic Disneyland churro. But hey — when it’s soaking in a cup of cold brew, you can’t expect it to taste the same as a fresh churro.

Galactic Grill is bringing the SWEETS for breakfast! Now, all we have to do is figure out how to avoid that inevitable sugar crash. If you love sweet, cinnamon-y cold brew drinks, funnel cake, and maple syrup, we highly recommend stopping over here to give these new menu items a try!
