Well, it’s official. It’s a New Year in Disney World!

We’ve finally said goodbye to 2023 and will soon be saying hello to a lot of new things in Disney World, including regular park hopping, some new restaurants, the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, and more! But we’ve been keeping an eye on things in Disney World to see what’s trending, and we’ve got an idea of what we think will be trending this year.
So what’s going to be popular in Disney World in 2024? Well, here’s what we think you’ll see.
Trendy Sneakers
The shoes you wear to Disney World can literally make or break your vacation. Wear the wrong shoes and you’ll end up with blisters and sore feet. Now, we’ve told you all about the shoes that we recommend for your next Disney World trip, but we are already seeing some preferred brands out there in the parks.
Make sure everyone has good walking shoes
We’re seeing a lot Disney World visitors sporting Hokas (and we get why — they are so cushiony and comfy). We’re also seeing a lot of On Cloud 5 sneakers, which are also a pricey option, but known for their comfort.
New Shoes You Can Count on To Last Through a 10-Mile Disney World Day
Disney Dining Plan
The Disney Dining Plan returns in 2024, and well, we think a LOT of folks are going to be using it, especially with it being offered for FREE for Disney+ members during the first half of the year. This means that you’re probably going to find it even HARDER to book a lot of table service restaurants, especially those signature restaurants that are only going to cost one table service credit.
Breakfast
Is the Disney Dining Plan right for you? Well, that’s for you to decide, but we suggest doing the math and adding up everything you’re planning on eating on your trip. It’s likely the Dining Plan could cost more money than the actual food you buy. However, you sure can’t beat the Dining Plan’s convenience.

Those cute little nuiMOs plushes were popular in 2023, and they’re going to be even MORE popular in 2024. Disney continues to release new characters every month, and along with that are LOADS of new outfits. You can even match your DisneyBounds with the plushes DisneyBounds.
Cinderella nuiMOs
So be looking for those little souvenirs everywhere. Warning: once you get one, you’re hooked and you’ll want to buy ALL the outfits. Disney knows what it’s doing.

Disney Snack Merchandise
We’ll admit that we lost our minds when Disney recently revealed that all new snack merchandise was on the way. This new merchandise will celebrate our favorite Disney things EVER, like Mickey bars, Mickey pretzels, Mickey donuts, and more! We WANT IT ALL.

We know we’re not alone in our obsession of this new upcoming merchandise either. We also think the Popcorn Bucket Crossbody Bag will be the first thing to sell out.

Princess And The Frog Merchandise
Princess Tiana and her friends are about to become SUPER popular all over again, at least in late 2024, when an all-new Princess and the Frog-themed ride opens in Magic Kingdom. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take us through an all-new story that picks up AFTER The Princess and the Frog and we can’t wait to see what the bayou has in store for us.

Of course, a new ride means…what else? NEW MERCHANDISE. We’re sure there are going to be LOADS of new Tiana-themed things to buy and EVERYONE is going to want to get their hands on those new souvenirs.

The “It” Water Bottle
Okay, EVERYONE has a favorite water bottle, but some are pretty trendy, especially in Disney World. First, it was Corkcicle (and it doesn’t hurt that there’s a Corkcicle kiosk at Disney Springs). We’ve also seen a lot of Yeti Tumblers, Owala’s, as well as Hydro Flasks. Stanley is also a popular brand.

Our team, though, thinks the Owala could be the next big water bottle brand to become HUGE in Disney World.

So those are the trends we think we’ll see in Disney World in 2024, but we’re sure some new ones will also surprise us.
