With less than a week until the start of the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which begins on Wednesday, February 28, even more topiaries have appeared at the park.
Simba and Friends Topiaries
The Simba and Friends topiaries — Mufasa, Rafiki, Simba, and Sarabi — can be found in World Nature near The Land Pavilion. Mufasa and Sarabi stand on either side and slightly in front of Rafiki, who can be seen holding up lion cub Simba to the sky as he does in the film.
Timon and Pumbaa
The topiaries of Timon and Pumbaa can also be found in World Nature near The Land Pavilion. The pair are nestled in a large planter surrounded by various greenery and small flowers.
Pumbaa is covered in green vines, with spiky greenery for his hair and tail. His snout and mouth are a bright pink, and his tusks are white.
Timon stands off to Pumbaa’s left on a rock, and is proportionate in size to his larger friend. He sports a tight-lipped smile and is covered in various shades of greenery.
Huey, Dewey, and Louie
Huey, Dewey, and Louie can be found in a planter at World Celebration Plaza. Donald’s nephews can be told apart by their shirt colors — Huey is in red, Dewey is in blue, and Louie is in green.
Huey holds up the back of the line, dressed in his red shirt and ball cap and holding a rake. His hands are covered in brown moss, likely to stand as gardening gloves.
Dewey leads the pack with a shovel in hand, and dressed in his blue shirt and matching hat.
Louie can be found in the middle of the three, with a green shirt and cap that blend into his entire figure. He holds a straight rake.
Donald Duck
Donald Duck can be found not too far from his nephews, over in the World Celebration community garden near Connections Cafe.
Donald is dressed in his classic sailor garb, with brown moss for garden gloves. He holds a brown sack in one hand and a garden hoe in the other. His eyes are pointed toward his forehead in frustration, where a tiny bee has decided to land.
Geese
Over in the Canada Pavilion, the trio of geese topiaries have been installed. The three are formed as though they’re in various stages of taking flight from the nearby pond.
Their backs and wings are covered in various small succulents.
Lumiere and Cogsworth
In the France Pavilion, in front of the hedge maze, the topiaries for Lumiere and Cogsworth have appeared.
Lumiere stands tall with his arms up in the air, and faux flames “lit.” His candelabra body is covered in a yellow-green moss, while his wax face is white.
To his right is Cogsworth, in a dance-like pose. He smiles, looking toward Lumiere with his arms also outstretched. His pendulum can be seen in the middle of his torso, which is hollowed out.
Beauty and the Beast
Belle and Beast have also appeared in the France Pavilion, in one of the planters ahead of Impressions de France.
Both Belle and Beast are dressed in their attire from the ballroom sequence of the original 1991 animated film. Beast wears a dark jacket with bright green trim, a golden mossy vest, green pants, brown boots, and a white scarf with blue jewel at the center. He offers a friendly smile to guests passing by.
To his left is Belle in her iconic ballgown, represented here with bright green moss.
Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy
Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy can be found together in a planter between the France and Morocco Pavilions in World Showcase.
Kermit rides on a bicycle seemingly made out of bamboo, calling back to a sequence from The Muppet Movie. His bike’s baskets are filled with bright pink lilies.
Miss Piggy brought plenty of outfit changes for Flower & Garden, based on all the luggage she sits upon in the display. She sits on a large pink trunk with an assortment of pink and purple luggage to her right. As for her ensemble, Miss Piggy is dressed to the nines with a greenery-covered dress, a fuzzy boa, and matching pink elbow-length gloves and heels.
Dragon
The final new topiary added to EPCOT is the Dragon, found at the Japan Pavilion in World Showcase. It can be found offering a toothy grin to guests on the rocks in front of the Torii Gate.
Other topiaries already installed for the festival include the Figment topiary in World Celebration Gardens; Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, and Pluto; Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela, and Luisa from “Encanto;” Lady and the Tramp; Goofy; characters from “Peter Pan;” Winnie the Pooh and Friends; Anna and Elsa; Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Bo Peep; Flower, Thumper, and Bambi; Snow White and Dopey; Norway Troll and China Pandas; and butterflies.
New topiaries for this year that have yet to be installed will be inspired by “Wish,” “Coco,” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” See the full list of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival topiaries for 2024.
