BREAKING: The Orlando Airport Lost 3,500 Parking Spots

Flying can be stressful, and that stress starts from the moment you book your flight in most cases.

Make traveling easier by prepping in advance!

After booking your flight, you must then pack, plan, and fret over how soon you should arrive to the airport, whether you should drive or Uber, and whether or not you’ll check your bag. For a lot of folks, it’s the anxiety of finding a place to park that will allow them to make it on time for their flight. At the Orlando International Airport (MCO), a lot of folks chose to park at a shuttle-serviced lot. Now, though, those services are changing.

According to Click Orlando, a longtime parking place and shuttle-serviced lot has closed to airport visitors, which leaves MCO with 3,500 fewer parking spots.

Park Bark and Fly has been one of the biggest and most affordable shuttle lots since 2004, and has become reputable for its shuttle buses that are adorned in dog bones. However, founder and owner Pete Madison said that the prices to purchase shuttles, liability insurance, and general inflation has caused the business to become nearly impossible to operate.

The parking lot will still be available for $11 per day for those needing places to leave their cars, recreational vehicles, and boats. It’s just the shuttle service that has ended.

So… what can you do instead if you’re needing to get to MCO? Well, there’s always the option of ride share. You can leave your car at home and simply Uber or Lyft to the airport. Further, MCO offers parking, but it tends to fill up quickly and can be quite expensive.

If you typically park at Park Bark and Fly, just be aware of these changes ahead of your next flight so that you aren’t left in a panic.
