We have some news coming from Carnival Cruise Line!
We’ve been hearing a lot of big news from Carnival this year! Recently, they announced their newest destination, Celebration Key. NOW, they have announced a BRAND-NEW cruise ship will soon be added to their (already large) fleet!
If you’re a fan of Carnival Cruise Line, it is time to celebrate! The company has officially placed an order to have a new ship built, which should be ready for its first voyage in Spring 2027, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
This ship is a part of the Excel Class — which means it is a ship that runs on liquefied natural gas (LNG). This makes cruising more environmentally friendly, and we’re glad that Carnival is adding to this lineup! Their LNG line of ships has been proven to be very popular, with the Mardi Gras and Jubilee ships being the premier ships in their lineup.
The new ship’s name has not been announced just yet. However, we know that it will have room for about 6,400 guests and will weigh about 180,000 tons.
Carnival hasn’t released much information about this ship yet, but we’re excited to hear more about it! We’ll keep you in the loop as we learn more, so keep checking in with us at DFB for the latest!
