‘Moana 2’ Announced
The news came as a surprise, as a “Moana” television series was previously in development. That series has been transitioned into this feature film. Fans will be able to see how much farther the heroine will go when the sequel hits theaters on November 27, 2024.
Per Variety, “Moana” raked in over $680 million at the box office, and crossed 1 billion hours streamed on Disney+ in 2023.
A teaser trailer was immediately shared on social media, which you can see below:
Last year, Dwayne Johnson, who voiced Maui in the original film, announced a separate live-action reimagining of the animated feature, set to be produced by Auli’i Cravalho, the original voice of Moana. She will not reprise her role in the film.
