A “new” treat is coming to ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in honor of the Oscars. The Toffee and Coconut Blondie is actually the 50th anniversary Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie — which never left Disney’s Hollywood Studios after “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” ended.
Toffee and Coconut Blondie
The Disney Eats Instagram shared that the Toffee and Coconut Blondie will be available at ABC Commissary from February 12 through March 11. The gooey toffee and toasted coconut blondie is topped with salted caramel buttercream and a chocolate “Oscars” accent.
The Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie was originally available at Backlot Express and Fairfax Fare. After the 50th anniversary celebration ended, it was renamed the Toffee and Coconut Blondie and the “festive gold nuggets” and 50th anniversary chocolate medallion were removed. It remained at Fairfax Fare until last fall, when it moved to Catalina Eddie’s, where it’s still available to this day.
The blondie may be removed from the Catalina Eddie’s menu when the Oscars version is introduced in a few days. The blondie currently costs $4.99.
The Walt Disney Company has been nominated for 20 Oscars. The live Academy Awards ceremony will be live on ABC on March 10, 2024, at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
