We think the majority of you probably do, which is why we always try to keep you updated on any airfare deals we find or when airlines announce new flights to Orlando. Well, guess what? An airline just added new flights to Orlando…but there’s a catch.
So here’s the thing…these new flights aren’t to and from Orlando International Airport. Instead, they’re in and out of Orlando’s OTHER airport, Orlando Sanford Airport. Yes, you actually have ANOTHER option to fly in and out of Orlando. Now, you might have even more of a reason to use this airport.
According to The Orlando Business Journal, Allegiant Air is now offering flights three times a week from Greater Rochester International Airport in Rochester, New York, to Orlando Sanford Airport. If you fly out of Rochester, it just got way more convenient to get to Disney World!

This could save you a lot of money on your flights, even if you have to fly to a different airport. We’ve found that Sanford is typically a LOT easier to navigate because it’s much smaller than Orlando International Airport, plus it’s a lot less stressful (especially when it comes to security lines). However, it is a little further away from Disney World, but several private shuttle services can get you to and from Disney World, along with rideshare. You can also rent a car if that’s what you prefer.

So it’s definitely worth a thought if you’re looking to save some money on your next Disney World trip and these flights are convenient for you! We suggest researching all your options before committing to one.
