Did you hear the HUGE news?!

Disney just announced that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open EARLY in Magic Kingdom, in the summer of 2024! That means we’ll get to go down the bayou with Tiana in just a few months. Along with the opening timeline announcement, Disney also shared a FIRST LOOK at the new Tiana animatronic that will be inside this ride!

We’ve seen concept art for the Tiana animatronic that will be coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but now we finally have a first look at the animatronic itself!

Disney said, “You already know that no one does Audio-Animatronics figures like Disney does, and here’s a first look!”

In addition, Disney’s announcement said, “I’m especially looking forward to seeing Tiana in her adventure outfit but there will be a bunch of familiar faces and new friends that will fill up the bayou with their unique personalities.” If you look closely at the background of that video of the Tiana animatronic, you can spot another animatronic! Could that be Tiana’s mom, Eudora? 

We’ve already seen a glimpse of a new Louis animatronic that will be coming to the ride, too!

The ride’s premise will pick up the story of The Princess and the Frog “after the final kiss,” when guests can “join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.”

So, what exactly DOES happen “after the final kiss”? Well, when the film itself ends, Princess Tiana makes her dream come true when she opens her very own restaurant, Tiana’s Palace! The story of the attraction, as Disney shares, picks up during New Orleans’ Carnival season, and Tiana is hosting a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans — the community that has supported her successful restaurant. (The storyline is set about a year after the movie.)

But Tiana realizes that the party is “missing a key ingredient” and she needs help finding it, so we all get to go on the adventure together!
