Following this morning’s announcement of an opening window and details for DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida, new posters have been added to the construction walls surrounding the land.
Posters Added to DreamWorks Land Construction Walls
We happened to be in the park as the announcement went live, and spotted that new posters for each of the land’s areas had been added to the construction walls.
The poster for Shrek’s Swamp reads,
At least one of us is excited
Enter the swamp this summer
The poster features Shrek and Donkey on an ombre green background. Donkey is perched on Shrek’s shoulder, smiling, to whom Shrek offers a smirk and raises an eyebrow.
The Panda Village-related poster reads,
Train with Po!
The awesomeness starts this summer
The poster showcases Po with a bamboo staff in hand, making his best kung fu pose against an ombre red, orange, and yellow background.
A second Shrek poster was also added, and says,
Bring your friends!
Swing by this summer
The poster features Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots swinging by on a rope, with Donkey looking less than thrilled.
The poster for Trolls has Poppy and Branch jumping in the air against an ombre pink, orange, and yellow background. The poster says,

Formerly, Blackwells filed their official proxy statement for the shareholders meeting, which recommended that the media giant split up its real estate into independent public real estate investment trusts. Then, cash and interests could be distributed to shareholders. Now, Blackwells has shared another way that Disney could boost shares.
Partners statue in Disney World
According to U.S. News and World Report, Blackwells is suggesting that Disney come up with an artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. They stated that doing so could “lift the U.S. media and entertainment conglomerate’s stock price by as much as 129%.”
Animal Kingdom
In a presentation given on Monday, February 26th, Blackwells said, “Disney must produce an artificial intelligence strategy, and share elements of that strategy with its shareholders.”
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Blackwells didn’t acknowledge Disney’s investment in new technologies or the fact that Disney is already viewed as a global leader in innovative entertainment. Just last year, Disney formed an AI Task Force to study AI and strategize how it could be used across the company — from media to in-park entertainment.
Spaceship Earth
Further, this suggestion follows the first quarterly earnings call of fiscal 2024, where Disney announced a partnership with Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite. This $1.5 billion investment will bring a never-before-seen gaming experience to Fortnite, and Disney CEO Bob Iger alluded to a metaverse world where entertainment, shopping, and even gameplay would be possible.
The partnership announcement proceeds Disney’s partnership with the all-new Apple Vision Pro virtual reality experience, as well as Disney’s Holo Tile — a virtual reality “treadmill” experience. Disney describes the Holo Tile floor technology as the “world’s first multi-person, omni-directional, modular, expandable, treadmill floor.” This could be combined with another sort of virtual reality experience (like Apple Vision Pro) to make the user really feel like they’re part of a different universe.
So, a lot of Disney fans are scratching their heads at Blackwells’ suggestion that Disney isn’t ALREADY in the works of bringing AI and further innovation to the parks. Now, that’s not to totally disregard the second part of Blackwells’ suggestion: that Disney SHARE the AI strategy with shareholders. It’s safe to say that yes, Disney’s shares WOULD likely be boosted if they shared with the public a solidified strategy that demonstrated how AI would be implemented into the parks and film production. We’ll just have to tune in to the April 3rd shareholders meeting to see how things play out.
We’ll keep you updated with any and all Disney news, so make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing.
AJ just made a video about some mistakes she made in Disney World, and you can watch it right here!
Sometimes Audience Participation Isn’t Always Wanted
Over at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor in Magic Kingdom, there’s a lot of audience participation that goes into the show, especially if you’re seeing the Halloween or Christmas overlays that happen during the park’s special after-hours events. The show will randomly select guests to participate, which is how one of our team members found herself red in the face and all eyes on her.
Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor
During the holiday overlay one year, she was asked to talk about the town she lives in and describe it so the monsters could sing a song about it. You know when someone asks you a question you know the answer to, but under pressure the answer flies out of your brain? That was a bit of what it was like for our team member!
TRON is Confusing, Okay?
TRON Lightcycle / Run is Disney World’s newest ride, located in Magic Kingdom, and while the ride vehicles are super cool (you sit on them in a leaning forward, like you’re riding a motorcycle), they’re a little confusing. And one of our own found herself a little confused getting on the ride for the first time.
TRON Lightcycle / Run
To keep it short, she tried to get on the Lightcycle backwards. When she realized it wasn’t working well, a Cast Member instructed her to turn around, asking her, “How did you think you were going to grab the handle bars?” Telling us the story, she said, “I DIDN’T think! Clearly!”
Always. Look. Where. You. Sit.
This next story happened to one of our writer’s boyfriends, but we’re still counting it. When he went to Disney World for the first time, he wore light-colored shorts and just happened to sit on melted ice cream…brown ice cream.
Mickey Bar!
The worst part is, they didn’t notice for THREE HOURS! The moral of the story? Always look before you sit down!
Roller Coasters in Rain? Maybe Not A Great Idea.
If there’s no lightning in the area, outdoor rides will stay open in the rain. In this case, you may get to ride a roller coaster like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in the rain! As cool as that sounds, beware.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
One of our writers and his wife decided to ride Big Thunder Mountain in the pouring rain, because why not? Well, neither of them can tell you what the ride looks like, because the rain was so heavy, it was PAINFUL hitting them as they rode! So they wrapped their hoods around their faces to protect themselves and just held on. He says that after that, his wife wasn’t too happy with him the rest of the day.
Splash Mountain Gets You REALLY Soaked (Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You)
That same writer had a different story for us, this time over at Splash Mountain in Disneyland when it was open (we figured we’d include it because it could have happened in Disney World just as easily!).
Disneyland Splash Mountain on Final Day of Operation
On a hot day, our writer got in line for Splash Mountain and was seated in the front row. Needless to say, he got SO soaked, that his entire outfit was ruined (and we mean ENTIRE outfit). He headed over to the Adventureland Bazaar and had to buy an entire new outfit — flip flops that consistently slid off his feet for the rest of the day, Tiki-themed shorts that ended up being too big, and an expensive sweatshirt (that he says he still wears, so not a total loss). In his words, “I looked like an idiot who thought I was at the beach the rest of the day.”
Bananas in Bag? BAD IDEA.
This last story also takes place in Disneyland, but in the Haunted Mansion line, so again, it could just as easily happen in Disneyland.
Haunted Mansion in Disneyland
At the time, our writer was 17 and visiting Disneyland for the first time. She had done meticulous planning, and knew that bringing snacks into the park was a good idea. Wanting to be a little healthy, she had grabbed a banana from the hotel breakfast and stuck it in her bag (see where this is going?). Well, in the Haunted Mansion line, she went to put her water bottle back in her bag, not thinking, and SMUSH. There goes the banana, all over the inside of her bag. So she rode the whole attraction knowing there was a gross smushed banana in her bag, which made the ride slightly less enjoyable.
Magic Kingdom

To us, that sounds like the ultimate world adventure! We LOVE being able to travel, and hearing about this cruise really piqued our interest. While we are able to travel around the world at EPCOT on a regular basis, sometimes visiting countries other than Norway, Italy, or France sounds very appealing. Now, it is possible to visit 39 (!!!) different countries on a SINGLE cruise. Now, this is something we HAVE to talk about.
Holland America is a cruise line that is familiar with long-term cruises. They have plenty of cruises advertised on their website — some ranging from as short as 17 days to as long as 133 days. With this in mind, they have some pretty epic sailings to offer guests.
Per USA Today, a cruise they have announced for 2026 is a world cruise that includes stops in 39 different countries. This cruise will be 132 days long, so make sure you pack accordingly!
As if this cruise wasn’t special enough, throughout all of the countries you visit, you will be making stops at every single continent. Throughout the 39 countries you will visit, you’ll be hitting 47 ports to step off the ship and explore the area.
The cruise disembarks from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and takes you on a unique journey around the world. You’ll journey throughout South America, take in the scenery of Antarctica, and then you’ll continue your journey. Guests on this cruise will then sail around Australia, Southeast Asia, Northern Europe, and MORE. After this journey, guests will end up back in Fort Lauderdale to be reunited with their friends and family while they attempt to get their land legs back.
This voyage will be taking place on Holland America’s Volendam ship, which can carry 1,432 passengers. This cruise will disembark on January 4th, 2026, so if you want to take part, make sure you keep that in mind!
Tickets for this cruise aren’t on sale just yet, but we’ll be looking out for when they do. So, keep checking back in with us at DFB for the latest information!

This year, Star Wars LEGO is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and five new exclusive sets are coming soon! We got a preview of these sets thanks to Disney Consumer Products.
One of the new sets!
The first two sets are inspired by the opening scenes of Star Wars: A New Hope and feature the Tantive IV ship. In one of them, you can build the scene with Darth Vader storming the hallways!
It’s inspired by the movie!
There’s also a small model of the Millennium Falcon, complete with a missing escape pod! (That’s a fun reference to the movie — all the Star Wars fans out there will get that one. ) If you don’t want to shell out the big bucks for the MASSIVE Millennium Falcon set, this might be a better option.
How cool!
Love the build-your-own-droid experience in Disney World and Disneyland? Well, now you can build one out of LEGO! This R2-D2 LEGO set is probably going to be popular.
Build your own droid!
And last but not least, we’ve got a model of the Invisible Hand, which was one of General Grievous’s ships during the Clone Wars era of Star Wars.
The final anniversary set!
So there you go — FIVE new Star Wars LEGO sets you can check out very soon! They’re releasing on March 1st, 2024.
