Updates are happening quickly as we approach the opening day of the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival on February 28. We spotted several freshly installed topiaries and other adjustments on a recent trip to the park.
Newly Added Topiaries
Buzz Lightyear
Buzz Lightyear has landed in World Discovery, near Mission: SPACE. This is the same location he was in last year.
Buzz is seen waving to passersby in a flowerbed in front of Mission: SPACE. All of his details, from his buttons to the ball joints that give him his toy appearance are included.
Woody and Bo Peep
Next up is the returning group, Woody, Bo Peep, and her sheep in World Nature, near Imagination! and The Land Pavilion.
Woody, giving a tilt of his cowboy hat, is on the left, with three alphabet block planters placed next to him.
Bo Peep, on the right, is depicted in her dress from the original “Toy Story” film and “Toy Story 2,” as she holds onto her staff.
Bo’s three sheep stand together between Woody and Bo Peep.
Flower, Thumper, and Bambi
Also added are Flower, Thumper, and Bambi, who can be spotted in World Discovery, near the Imagination! Pavilion and Refreshment Port, just as they were last year.
This trio is made of vivid colors, with Bambi comprised of brown, tan, black, and white.
Flower is black, white, gray, and blue, while Thumper is gray, tan, white, black, and pink.
Rose Walk Completed on Imagination! Side
The florals along the rose walk near the Imagination! Pavilion have been entirely installed, adding loads of color to the area in time for the festival.
The panoramic pattern features designs of butterflies and flowers made of florals in a variety of colors, including red, yellow, and green.
Preparation Under Way for More Flower & Garden Installations
There are still quite a few more topiaries to be added before the festival kicks off, including new installations inspired by “Coco,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and “Wish.”
Temporary rolling planters and hay can be seen here in World Celebration, likely in preparation for a new installation.
Prehistoric Garden Dinosaurs Removed
The small dinosaur figures that were added to the Prehistoric Garden section less than a week ago have already been removed. Located in World Discovery near Mission: SPACE, the garden has plants that have been around since the prehistoric era, however the dinosaur figures didn’t last quite that long.
The dinosaurs sat inside of the large planters and were brightly colored.
Dinosaurs are still referenced in garden rocks that have depictions of dinosaur skeletons embedded within them.
