A middle school and ice cream truck staple treat for many, the Choco Taco is coming back this summer thanks to Salt and Straw and Taco Bell, and could eventually make its way to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
Salt and Straw and Taco Bell Team Up for Choco Taco
According to People, this novelty ice cream was discontinued by Klondike in July 2022, but Taco Bell and Salt and Straw are working together to offer their own take on the treat.
In an Instagram Post, Salt and Straw shared that their Ice Cream Chocolate Tacos are coming this summer “to all scoop shops and online for nationwide shipping.” Each of the tacos is made with “hand pressed waffle cones, freshmade cinnamon ancho ice cream” and “dipped in single origin chocolate and studded with toasted brown rice.” The tacos will also come with three custom sauce packets and a tangy cheesecake dip.
At both Disney Springs and the Downtown Disney District, the Salt and Straw locations offer grab-and-go pint cases; it’s entirely possible that Choco Tacos could appear there as well. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for this nostalgic snack.
