11 Disney World Attractions Finally REOPENED Today — Typhoon Lagoon Is BACK, Baby!

The day has finally arrived!

Typhoon Lagoon has reopened!

Although one Disney World water park, Blizzard Beach, has closed, another has reopened. Yes! Typhoon Lagoon has officially reopened in Disney World, and we’re going to take you inside with us to see what things are like inside the water park now. So grab your swim gear, and let’s go!

Typhoon Lagoon reopened today, March 17th — on this day, the hours for Typhoon Lagoon are from 10AM to 5PM. We showed up right at opening and there was already a line of people waiting to get in (don’t worry — this is NOTHING like the lines we see at the theme parks!).

Line to get in

A 1-day Water Park ticket (without restrictions) is $74 per adult and $68 per child. However, a 1-day Water Park ticket with blockout dates is $64 per adult and $58 per adult. You can also ask about Florida resident tickets and prices. If you purchase a Park Hopper Plus ticket for Disney World, it includes water park admission. Note that in 2025, Disney World hotel guests will get to go to the water parks for FREE on their check-in day.

Let’s go inside!

Like any other Disney park, Typhoon Lagoon has a theme and a story. A fabled rogue storm struck this tropical region, which was once home to a shrimping industry and a fruit export company. The storm wreaked havoc, tossing a fleet of ships from the sea and blowing pieces of treasure and other debris throughout what is now a water park.

Theming is everything at Disney!

You’ll see all kinds of Imagineering details as soon as you enter the main gate. Look up in the trees and you’ll see maritime alphabet flags with secret messages. This one says “Piranha in pool!” 😨 But hey, we’re sure it’s just FINE…

Be sure to check the maritime flags!

These maritime flags say, “Surf’s up!”

Speaking of Stitch, we ran into Stitch meeting people and posing for photos!

It’s Stitch!

So what kind of attractions are available at Typhoon Lagoon? There’s a water coaster called the Crush ‘N’ Gusher, six water slides, the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool (a wave pool)…

…Castaway Creek (a lazy river)…

Of course, you know what we’re really here for are the snacks, right? So we headed on over to Typhoon Tilly’s to get the Dole Whip Bathtub Sundae. It’s definitely SOMETHING. It’s made with Dole Whip Pineapple, Dole Whip Strawberry, and Green Matcha Tea Soft-Serve.
