Closing Date Announced for Studio 1 Reimagining at Disneyland Paris

As previously announced, Disney Studio 1 at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris will close for a major reimagining in April 2024. We now have an updated date for the year-long closure.

Restaurant en Coulisse, Legends of Hollywood, and Hollywood Jewel Box will all be closed beginning on April 25, indicating all of Studio 1 will be closed beginning that day. April 24 will be the last day to enjoy Studio 1 in its current iteration.

Studio 1 is an enclosed building but is the park’s entrance, acting like Main Street, U.S.A. It’s currently decorated to resemble a studio with sets and backstage theming. Restaurant en Coulisse is meant to make guests feel like they are taking their catered meal break on a movie set.

According to plans unveiled last summer, the restaurant will become a movie premiere garden party. The facades around the restaurant will be replaced with large trees. Restaurant capacity will be increased to 530. There will be a single line with eight checkout stations. The park entrance will also get a new awning to make the building look like a cinema. Studio 1 is scheduled to reopen in April 2025. During the closure, a side alley will become the park’s entrance.

Since November, construction has been underway outside in the surrounding Theater District. The work is part of a years-long reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park leading up to the opening of a major expansion including the Kingdom of Arendelle.
