Dark Universe Roller Coaster Undergoes Testing at Epic Universe in New Video

The Dark Universe roller coaster at Universal Epic Universe is undergoing ride testing.

Dark Universe Roller Coaster Testing

In a helicopter video shared by WESH 2 News, the roller coaster in the Dark Universe section of Universal Epic Universe can be seen going through a full test run. Inside the ride vehicles are test dummies, designed to mimic the weight of riders. Watch the full video below.

The outdoor spinning coaster appears to seat four guests per vehicle, with the spinning function seemingly determined by weight distribution. Universal has yet to reveal details about the Dark Universe roller coaster, or much of the land in general, other than the fact that “guests will encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to a shadowy landscape where monsters roam in this world of myth and mystery.” Rumors have indicated that the attraction could be called Curse of the Werewolf, featuring the classic Universal Monster, the Wolf Man.

Dark Universe is one of five themed lands opening in 2025 with Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort. The others are Celestial Park (the only land not themed to IP), Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk. Thus far, the only land we’ve gotten a detailed description of is Celestial Park.
