The World-Famous Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood is getting ready to celebrate its 60th anniversary this spring. The trams for the Studio Tour are getting a makeover for the summer to look like the original Glamor Trams from the 1960s. Now, we have a first look at the new Glamor Tram popcorn bucket coming soon!
Studio Tour Glamor Tram Popcorn Bucket
The new popcorn bucket is designed to look like the retro red and white Glamor Trams. The trams on the tour are starting to get these new Glamor Tram wraps and all the diesel trams will be wrapped by the spring.
This popcorn bucket has “Universal Studios Glamor Tram” written in white on the side of the red tram along with the logo. The tram is very detailed, with mirrors on the side and a scalloped red and white awning. Taking a closer look at the popcorn bucket, we can see that the sides of the tram have silhouettes of the riders on the vehicle.
These lucky popcorn bucket tram riders have an iconic driver for their tour: Woody Woodpecker! It’s difficult to see in the photo, but Woody Woodpecker is sitting in the front, driving the tram. It’s nice to see this character getting some recognition during the anniversary.
Along with the popcorn buckets, there is rumored to be even more new merchandise to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Studio Tour. Universal Studios Hollywood has not officially confirmed the changes to the tour for the celebration, but we’ve heard the tram will be stopping by the Bates Motel and letting guests out to walk around. This is similar to what is done during Halloween Horror Nights for the Terror Tram.
“Earthquake,” the “War of the Worlds” set, and the Bates Motel are currently being refurbished. The 60th anniversary of the Studio Tour is expected to start in mid-April and run through the summer, so stay tuned for more details!
