After testing the ride with water dummies, Imagineers were the first to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom this Friday.
@DrewDisneyDude, who previously shared the video of the water dummies testing, shared a video on X of four Imagineers in ponchos and orange construction vests in a log ride vehicle that splashed down the mountain.
The Imagineers and onlookers cheered when they reached the bottom of the drop. The crew member in the front row was filming with a phone. Another declared jokingly, “It works!”
We saw new signs around Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on Friday morning. These inform guests that the ride is not yet open, just testing.
Though Tiana’s Bayou Adventure utilizes the same vehicles and track as Splash Mountain, testing is still necessary to ensure new elements don’t get in the way of the ride and that timing is correct.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom will open this summer.

Arribas France will begin offering silhouette artwork at Disneyland Paris next week. Silhouettes are a staple of the U.S. Disney Parks. They were previously offered at Disneyland Paris but it’s been many years since the experience was available.
Disneyland Paris Shopping shared silhouette artwork examples with the announcement on Instagram. Guests can get their silhouettes cut out and framed on Market Street, near the Main Street Motors boutique in Disneyland Park.
Guest silhouettes can be placed next to the silhouettes of Mickey, Minnie, or Sleeping Beauty Castle. One frame option also has mouse ears on top.
The artwork features the Disneyland Paris wordmark on the bottom.
Silhouette art will be available at Disneyland Paris starting on March 29, 2024.

Walt Disney World has extended theme park hours for Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom from April 7 through 13, 2024.
Magic Kingdom was previously scheduled to be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week. It will now open at 8 a.m. on April 8 and 13, with early entry for hotel guests beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The park will close at 10 p.m. on April 8 and at 11 p.m. on April 7 and 9-13. Extended evening hours for select hotel guests will be available from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on April 10.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios was scheduled to be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. It will stay open an extra half hour until 9:30 p.m. on April 7, 12, and 13.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom was scheduled to be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. It will now be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with early entry beginning at 7:30 a.m.
EPCOT operating hours have not changed. The park will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from April 7 through 13.

An old Carousel of Progress reference has begun to appear on Walt Disney World buses.
The reference appears on the screens on the fronts and sides of the buses. These screens display the destination, like Magic Kingdom. The screens also sometimes switch to show a quote or phrase.
We’ve started spotting “Now is the best time of our lives!” on these bus screens. The quote may not be familiar to younger Disney fans, but it’s taken from “The Best Time of Your Life.” The Sherman Brothers wrote the song for the debut of Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom in 1974.
The new theme song was commissioned by ride sponsor General Electric, who reportedly wanted guests to focus on the now instead of the future. It replaced “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow,” also by the Sherman Brothers. But the original song was restored during the 1990s update to Carousel of Progress.
As of July 2022, “The Best Time of Your Life” is also referenced in the narration of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority at Magic Kingdom.
