Crews have added more layers of paint and more windows to the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
DVC Tower Construction
Scaffolding has been up around this end of the tower for weeks as it is painted. There are three distinct colors on the tower. One is dark brown, one is an orange-ish shade, and one is a light cream color.
The scaffolding also now covers most of this wall. We saw several crew members working around the first floor. Some balcony walls have been painted.
In the bottom center of the above photo, you can see some paint on a wall behind the scaffolding. Crews had begun painting this section last month.
The paint on the exterior of the elevator tower has been cleaned up. There is just one stripe of gray concrete around the second window from the top of the tower. These walls are the light cream color, with the orange color on either side.
Some of the balcony walls in the center of the building have also been painted yellow. Previously, there was exposed weather-proof sheathing on these walls.
Small windows have been installed above the entryway on the first floor.
Crews have also painted most of the other wing since our last update. This end is now almost entirely cream and orange-colored behind scaffolding. They have also been painting the other side, which faces the lagoon.
The tower is located next to the Fiji and Tuvalu buildings.
Below is the only concept art Disney has released of the new Disney Vacation Club location. Concepts are always subject to change but the tower mostly resembles the artwork so far.
The new DVC tower is scheduled to open this year. It will be part of the same condo association as the current Polynesian Village Resort DVC offerings.
