REVIEW: Earth Eats at the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

Grab your fork and napkin, folks! We’re heading to a NEW booth, and we’re gonna taste it all!

2024 Booth

The 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially begun at Disneyland Resort and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 22nd, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat at the Earth Eats booth? Well, we’ve checked it out, and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts.

Menu

Over at the Earth Eats, you’ll find a full assortment of plant-based menu items! Though, we’ve seen a similar (if not identical!) version of this booth at EPCOT for the International Food & Wine Festival, we’re excited to see what West Coast twists Disney’s California Adventure has in store!

Menu

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

First up, we grabbed IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites for $8.50. These IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites come with tomato and cheese sauces and grated parmesan. These were kinda like mozzarella sticks. They also had a strange texture, but we got used to it pretty quickly.

Impossible Chicken Parm Bites

The marinara sauce was excellent on these, so if you’re looking for a treat that’s safe and tasty, this is it. However, we would have preferred to have seen mozzarella cheese here instead of parmesan.

Next up, we grabbed IMPOSSIBLE Beef Stroganoff for $9. The IMPOSSIBLE Beef Stroganoff comes with Egg noodles tossed in a mushroom cream sauce with IMPOSSIBLE beef and sour cream. Now, that’s a lot of stuff to convert to a plant-based diet, so how does it hold up?

Impossible Beef stroganoff

This was EXCELLENT. We thought it could use more of the creamy sauce, but that’s a minor detail we can overlook. The mushrooms are the star, though, and the flavors aren’t too bold for a stroganoff. It’s like an upgraded beef stroganoff, and it’s nice to see Disney really making some vegetarian options that are SO good.

SO good

Now, time to wash all that food down with some drinks.

Drinks

Regarding drinks on this menu, we got the Watermelon Cucumber Mojito for $17. The Watermelon Cucumber Mojito is made with white rum, watermelon liqueur, mojito and cucumber syrups, watermelon purée, and lime juice, topped with Topo Chico and garnished with a watermelon spear with Tajín twist. Now that is a lot of flavors going on. We have sweet watermelon, tart lime, refreshing cucumber, and spicy tajin. This sounds like a Cancun beach vacation converted into a drink — so obviously, we have HIGH expectations for it!

Watermelon Cucumber Mojito

We’re happy to report that this drink EXCEEDED our expectations. It is SO refreshing, even with the tajin kick. The watermelon flavor is what you mostly taste, meaning this is the perfect summer drink. There’s just a hint of cucumber, so it only adds a little bit of flavor. However, you do need to be okay with a bit of spice to enjoy it.

OVERALL

This could be one of our favorite booths at the festival this year. Both food items just really nailed it, particularly for vegetarian dishes. If you’re looking for plant-based options with a LOT of flavor, this is the food booth for you. The drink is also worth visiting this booth for, but if you’re like us, you won’t be visiting it just once. We’ll be back!

Full Spread 2024

That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
