After being removed, one of the traffic signals in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been refurbished and returned.
Hollywood Studios Traffic Signal Refurbished
Hollywood Blvd . and Sunset Blvd. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios feature working retro traffic signals on their street corners that light up and flip between “Go” and “Stop” signs. The traffic signals are for theming and don’t actually direct any traffic.
Recently, the signal disappeared from atop this black and white striped pole at Hollywood Junction, where the two streets meet.
As of Friday, March 29, the signal is back and appears to have been refurbished. It’s working perfectly.
The signal has red and green “Stop” and “Go” lights in addition to the changing signs on the side. On top are road signs for Sunset Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd.
The lights are hard to see in the day but are in working order.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closing early on June 5 for a private event. The park’s Mama Melrose restaurant will soon debut new menu items. The Walt Disney Theater recently reopened with new seats and carpet.
