This ride is nothing like the rides we see at Disney World. While we’ve been seeing some thrill rides being added to the parks, nothing that we’ve seen at Magic Kingdom can stack up to this theme park attraction we just found. It truly looks so thrilling, but also terrifying, depending on who you ask. Let’s take a trip and see what this new theme park ride is all about (although you can’t blame us if we actually keep our eyes closed the whole time — we’re scared!)!
We’re heading over to Phantasialand in Germany (no, not the one in World Showcase) — to see what their ride, Talocan, is all about. This ride came on our radar when the theme park posted a TikTok about it — and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. This ride looks thrilling, terrifying, and extreme.

For some, this ride could be a nightmare, but to others — this could be a thrill ride from their dreams. Talocan is a suspended top spin ride that opened in the park in 2007. Since then, it has been delivering thrills to any of the parkgoers who dare to get on.

Why is this ride so extreme? Well, it puts guests back to back and spins around on its own axis — and has a TON of random sequences it can put you through, so no ride is ever the same. Plus, throughout the ride, you’ll see (and feel) water and fire coming towards you. How thrillingly terrifying is that?!

Not only is the ride concept thrilling, but the theming has blown us away! Talocan is themed to be an Aztec temple and features a lot of elements and some myths of Mexico. Throughout the ride, you’ll be hearing from Tlāloc, the god of rain, in your ear. Who knows what he might say!

The idea of going on a ride that spins you upside down and features fire bursts and water fountains is something we’re going to have to think about for a while.
