Water lilies have been added to the bayou at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is also home to two newly painted frogs.
Frog Characters Painted at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
The two frog characters we first spotted in January appear to have gotten their green skin and are now painted. You can see them sitting on a log in the water, covered with a white tarp.
Notably, they are two different shades of green, just like Tiana and Naveen when they are in their frog forms in “The Princess and the Frog” — though it is likely that these frogs are not Tiana and Naveen.
Water Lilies Added to Bayou
We also noticed that new dark and light pink water lilies have been installed in the bayou along the flume path. The lilies “grow” at various heights, with some resting on the surface of the water and some standing above the water level on green stems. This area was formerly the briar patch for Splash Mountain.
Water lilies hold significance to Tiana and “The Princess and the Frog,” as both her gown and tiara are inspired by the shape of the flower. A lily can be seen throughout the attraction on the Tiana’s Foods logo and in the shape of her crown on the water tower.
Lift Hill Banner Removed
Additionally, the purple banner addressing “family and friends” that was installed just days ago has been removed. It would have been hanging above the area where the ride vehicles are entering at the left of the above photo.
It’s possible it could have been taken down due to wind, or extra work in the area is needed before the banner can be completely installed.
Walt Disney Imagineering recently revealed that a Tiana’s Foods delivery truck had been installed in the ride’s queue, and we visited later that same day to see it for ourselves.
