The “Fire of the Rising Moons” fireworks show at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was updated to match up with the “Together Forever” fireworks for Pixar Fest at Disneyland. Pixar Fest officially begins on April 26 but preview performances of the shows were held this weekend.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge “Fire of the Rising Moons” Fireworks
During Fire of the Rising Moons, villagers and visitors alike come together to celebrate their freedom and to honor the heroes and legends who came before them. As the skies over Batuu light up in bursts of color, iconic music associated with tales from across the galaxy ignites our imagination. It’s a powerful moment you won’t want to miss!
The show debuted earlier this month for the ongoing “Season of the Force” celebration. It features an introduction by the Lore Weaver, delivered via his droid. The fireworks begin as the iconic “Star Wars (Main Title)” theme by John Williams plays.
There are immediately more fireworks at the beginning of the show than in the previous rendition. It also moves into more romantic scores from the “Star Wars” films before returning to the action.
The lights on the spires shift from blue to red as “The Imperial March” (Darth Vader’s theme) plays. The drama continues when the choral “Duel of the Fates” score from “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” begins. Battles are played out in the sky with red and white fireworks.
The medley of “Star Wars” scores continues, including themes from the original, prequel, and sequel trilogies.
Watch the updated show below.
“Fire of the Rising Moons” can be viewed from the Black Spire Spaceport near Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (the view in our video above), as well as from the TIE Echelon docking platform near First Order Cargo and the speeder garage near Droid Depot. A MagicBand+ lights up and vibrates with the show.
