Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has seen a number of new installations in Magic Kingdom, including a welcome banner, doors, and lighting.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Construction Update
At the yellow barn that acts as the entrance to Tiana’s Foods, the left side entrance has seen a few updates since being covered with white wood paneling.
This entryway now has two doors installed. The doors, which we previously saw resting near the main entrance of the Tiana’s Foods barn, are windowed and have black handles.
Additionally, lighting has been installed on the side of the building between the barn and the Frontierland Railroad Station platform. The light fixture has a hanging lantern style that’s in line with the rest of the lighting being installed on and around the attraction.
In the queue, wooden poles that will be used for lamp posts can be seen lying on the ground. In the distance, to the right, you can see one already installed, but without the light fixtures added.
The scaffolding in the front of the Tiana’s Foods water tower that we saw crew members working on earlier this week has been taken down.
Finally, at the entrance to the lift hill, a new purple welcome banner has been installed. Previously, a banner referencing “family and friends” and “New Orleans” was in this place, but it was swiftly removed after installation.
This new banner is difficult to photograph through the scrim covering the construction walls, hence the poor quality of the above photo.
However, the banner reads, “Welcome to All Who Come to This Happy Place.” This references the opening day speech given by Walt Disney at Disneyland Park on July 17, 1955. He began his speech with, “To all who come to this happy place: Welcome.”
