We’re Trying Disney’s NEW Peter Pan Restaurant — Lookout Cookout!

We still can’t believe it, but we’re in TOKYO getting a preview of the all-new Fantasy Springs!

Fantasy Springs!

The newest port for Tokyo DisneySea has three lands based on Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan! We’re in Tokyo trying all the new rides, food, and more ahead of Fantasy Springs’ official opening on June 6th, 2024. It’s lunch time and we’re in Never Land, so let’s see what the Lost Kids are cooking up!

We’re at Lookout Cookout — a quick-service restaurant the Lost Kids built out of wood from a shipwreck. Have a look around!

Lookout Cookout!

This restaurant was built by the Lost Kids, and you can tell it was thrown together with whatever they had!

Lookout Cookout

Check out these crooked shelves…

Just a little out of level!

…and we spotted a treasure map.

I bet they stole this from Captain Hook!

There’s a pirate sword…

Whose sword is that?

…and a pirate flag proudly displayed.

Lookout Cookout

This Lost Kids’ hangout certainly isn’t short on details, so what kind of food are they cooking up? Well, it’s a kids’ hangout, and the food will have you feeling like a kid again, too.

You’ll get your choice of two Lost Kids’ Snack Boxes here! One comes with Butter Curry Chicken.

And a second comes with Lemon Tea Chicken.

Talk about making us feel like kids again!

Both of the snack boxes have seaweed fritters, shrimp chips, and banana chips.

We also got a Lookout Brownie for dessert.

And we washed it all down with a kiwi-flavored Pixie Dust Soda.

TV Recap: “Will Trent” Unlocks a Repressed Memory That’s Haunted Him All Season Long in Season 2, Episode 8

In some ways, this week’s episode of Will Trent feels like the end of a saga. All season long, Will has been haunted by visions of his younger self. Maybe he’ll be back, but by the end of “Why is Jack’s Arm Bleeding?”, I get the feeling that this chapter of Will Trent’s past is resolved. […]

WE JUST FLEW Over Never Land on Disney’s NEW Peter Pan Ride!

Are you ready to ride Disney’s NEWEST attraction?!

WHOA. We’re in NEVER LAND.

Tokyo DisneySea is having a BIG year with the introduction of its new Fantasy Springs expansion which will feature three lands, including the new Peter Pan’s Never Land! If you’ve been as hyped as us about the new Tokyo Disney additions, we have good news — THE WAIT IS OVER! We are inside Fantasy Springs, and we just rode the  star attraction of Peter Pan’s Never Land!

We were invited for an early look at Fantasy Springs, and we’re here bringing you ALL the new rides, new food and MORE live this week (and yes, that does mean some of the DFB Team is working through the night to deal with the time difference!). We just rode Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, a 3D dark ride that takes passengers on a flying boat ride as you rescue John from Captain Hook and the pirates of Never Land!

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

It’s a 3D ride, so of course you’ve got to pick up some glasses on your way in.

3D glasses for Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

We walked through the Lost Kids camp in the ride queue.

Peter Pan’s Never Land ride queue

There are perfect little details through Never Land, like this map.

It’s a MAP!

This ride is entirely screens and scenery — there are no animatronics. But don’t worry about that because we were blown away by the tech here! The ride designers told us they used special UV paint techniques to seamlessly blend the screens and the sets, and it worked!

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

We have NEVER seen screens look so natural — it was hard to tell what was screens and what was a painted set. You CANNOT see the edges of screens. This is SO IMMERSIVE!!

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

Oh sorry, was I shouting?! This was so exciting — I WANT TO LIVE HERE!

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

The ride vehicles here are huge boats that you board to cruise through the water, but then Tinker Bell arrives and sprinkles some of that pixie dust, and you guessed it — we were flying! When Tinker Bell sprinkled our boat with pixie dust, there were projections that covered the entire boat and the people riding with you.

I’m FLYING!

This is a trackless ride, reminiscent of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT in some ways. We noticed one Easter egg — when the Lost Kids spill some treasure, Genie’s lamp floats out at you. We truly, truly were amazed by this ride and the way the screens and movement of the ride vehicle synced up.

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

Now, let’s talk about motion sickness for a minute. If you are prone to it, you *might* have trouble on this ride. One of our DFB team members who rode is prone to it, and she did not feel sick. But just a warning that you may have a different experience.

Besides Peter Pan’s Never Land, Fantasy Springs has Rapunzel’s Forest and Frozen Kingdom! The whole port is scheduled to be open to the public on June 6th, 2024!

We’ll be bringing you SO MANY MORE Fantasy Springs updates, so be sure to stay tuned right here at the Disney Food Blog!
