2024 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Walt Disney World has announced the return of the annual Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom for 2024. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will return to Magic Kingdom Park late this summer and will run through this fall.

2020 Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

With spellbinding entertainment, favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best and more, celebrate the most haunting time of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. This limited-capacity, nighttime event starts at 7 p.m. and allows guests to experience shorter wait times on attractions, themed food and beverage and more.

New Costumes for Minnie and Mickey Mouse

Get ready to strike a scary pose! Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will greet guests during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in their brand-new neon spiderweb attire.

Bust a Move during the DescenDANCE Party

Get ready to let loose and show off your best villain DescenDANCE Party, taking place at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. This new rave is inspired by the upcoming Disney Original Movie “Descendants: The Rise of Red,” premiering on Disney+ on July 12, so trust me when I tell you this is a date you don’t want to be late for.

More Villain Sightings

From the moment Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins and throughout Magic Kingdom guests will be able to spot their favorite sinister villains and ghoulish foes—and they might even get to take a selfie with them!

Bruno Madrigal joins the Fun!

You’re going to want to talk about this. Because yes, we’re talking about Bruno. For the first time during the party, you can meet the clairvoyant character from “Encanto” alongside Mirabel at their Casita in Fairytale Garden.

New Earlier start time for “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade”!

This year, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will take place at an earlier time – perfect for those guests attending with little ones who want to enjoy the spooky fun before it’s bedtime.

That’s everything that’s brand new, but what about what’s back for more tricks (and treats) this year? Returning favorites include “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, and trick-or-treating throughout the park. In addition, dance the night away at the and enjoy popular attractions with special Halloween twists, including Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, and Mad Tea Party.

Get ready to fill your Halloween basket with M&M’S, Skittles, Snickers and more available at various trick-or-treating locations. And don’t forget to stock up on marvelous event-exclusive merchandise!

Disney+ released a trailer for “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” a new four-piece animated special that will premiere on September 13.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy

LEGO Jar Jar Binks holding a red lightsaber

The teaser trailer, shared with the tagline “History will be rebuilt,” shows how the “building blocks of the galaxy are getting mixed up.” X-Wings become TIE Fighters, Ewoks are bounty hunters, and Jar Jar Binks is a Darth Jar Jar.

Ahmed Best reprises his role as Jar Jar and Mark Hamill returns as Luke Skywalker. “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” also features the voices of Gaten Matarazzo (Sig Greebling), Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), and Michael Cusack (Servo).

In LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, the entire Star Wars Galaxy gets completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together.

Disney World’s EXPENSIVE Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Add-On Is RETURNING in 2024

Disney World just shared a BUNCH of news about the 2024 Halloween season!

Halloween Time

Yep, that’s right, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Magic Kingdom this year with all the old favorites, from entertainment to trick-or-treating to character meets. Part of that list includes Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks, and if you want a great view for the show, we’ve got an important update!

For 2024, Disney will be bringing back the Halloween dessert parties! You’ll be able to book the Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with either the Tomorrowland Terrace Viewing or the Plaza Garden Viewing options.

Dessert Party

These dessert parties are an extra cost on top of your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket. Your dessert party ticket will include a dessert buffet, beverages (including some select alcoholic options for those over 21), and designated viewing for the fireworks show.

It’s a good option if you don’t want to stake out a fireworks spot in advance, but the downside is that the event will take up a significant portion of the already limited party time.

Check-In Time

In 2023, these parties cost $99 per person for the Plaza Garden option and $114 for the Tomorrrowland Terrace option. We’ll be on the lookout for 2024 pricing information in the coming months. Tickets for the Halloween Party are required for anyone who wants to attend the dessert party, and budgeting for both can be expensive, especially if you have a large group.

And if you need a new fit for this year’s Halloween Party, make sure to check out our awesome tees on the DFBStore!

I Was a Disney World Cast Member, and I’m Revealing the SECRETS I Have Stored in My Phone

Hello. Former Disney World Cast Member here. Even two years after working in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are still a few remnants of the job that stuck around. Yes, my old Cast Member nametag has a special spot on my desk. And yes, I still have a pile of stickers I took home after the job. (Bet you didn’t know there’s a pirate Mickey sticker, eh?) But one of the most useful things I kept was allllll the notes I took in my notes app on my phone. Wanna see?

Cinderella Castle

As it turns out, when you work as a Disney World Cast Member, there’s a lot to remember. You have to keep track of showtimes, dates, stories, and all kinds of other information. It’s a lot, trust me. But even now, years later, some of those notes still come in handy! And now, I am passing my knowledge on to you, dear reader.

Even as a former Disney Character Attendant (a.k.a. a “blueberry — the Cast Member wearing the blue polo and khakis), I often approached character meet-and-greets with a completely blank mind. There’s something about meeting Mickey that literally makes me (and others; I KNOW I’m not alone here) so starstruck I have no idea what to say when I meet him in the parks.

Mickey and Minnie

So, finally, I got smart and made a list of “character openers” to mentally prepare myself when I meet characters in the parks. Behold: my list of go-to questions for Disney character meet-and-greets.

Everyone needs one of these in their notes app

The questions don’t have to be complicated; all you need is a starting point! Disney characters LOVE to chat, but I know it can feel a little awkward to get the conversation started. That’s why it helps to think of those questions ahead of time — that way, you don’t feel like you’re on the spot when you’re in the parks!

Goofy and Max

Speaking of characters, I also keep a full list of character meet-and-greet times in my notes app. That way, I don’t have to fiddle around with the My Disney Experience app every time I want to meet a character.

Donald and Daisy!

I do need to point out that, unlike My Disney Experience, this list cannot magically update itself if a meet-and-greet suddenly changes, but it’s nice for a quick reference when I’m trying to plan my day. Some characters meet continuously, while others may come and go throughout the day! Make sure to double-check those times when you’re writing them down in your notes app.

This comes in SO handy!

Like every Disney expert, I also have a long, running list of all my favorite Disney snacks. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls are at the top of my list, but I am also partial to the Fried Chicken and Donuts at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, the Fanta Melon Frosty soda at Skipper Canteen (when it’s available, that is), and the Bavarian Pretzel at BaseLine Tap House. Can you tell I prefer salty, savory snacks to sweet desserts?

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, obviously

I also keep a list of new snacks and treats I plan to try on my next visit to Disney World. And during each seasonal EPCOT festival, I also make a list of all the food booths I plan to visit. Of course, I refer to the Disney Food Blog’s “Best of the Fest” list for recommendations. 😉

Everything You NEED To Eat and Drink at Disney’s 2024 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

Here’s another hot tip: keep track of the TIME when you’re at Disney World. If you happen to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from a unique angle, make a note of the location and time so you know where to go next time!

Fireworks in Disneyland Resort

I have a long list of the best times to ride all kinds of Disney World attractions. Here’s a peek at a few.

This is my personal cheat sheet!

I took notes on the times I rode Big Thunder Mountain and Magic Carpets of Aladdin and got a GREAT fireworks view. The other times in my notes are helpful if you want to avoid long lines at the end of the day. Work smarter, not harder!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Even after YEARS of going to Disney World, there are plenty of times that I still need to consult my notes app. Even if your notes look a little different than mine, I highly recommend making some kind of cheat sheet for yourself when you’re on vacation.

These Are the Worst Times to Get in Line for Every Ride at Disney World

I hope this little peek into my notes app was helpful! As I said, you may not need to record the same information, but hopefully, this will at least give you a little inspiration for your next trip. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
