New, EARLIER Parade Time Announced for the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

We just got some BIG announcements about the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World!

It’s really not so scary!

Disney announced when the party will take place, how much tickets will cost, what kinds of NEW offerings will be at this year’s event, and more. We also learned all the showtimes for the popular Boo-To-You parade, Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, and Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show, and this year some of those times have CHANGED compared to years past.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a family-friendly event that takes place on select nights throughout the fall season from Friday, August 9th, through October 31st. You must purchase tickets to attend this after-hours event, and visitors can expect exclusive treats, shorter attraction wait times, special Halloween entertainment, and more!

Halloween Merchandise from DFBStore.com

One of the most popular things to do at the Halloween party is to watch Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade! The parade features all kinds of villains; Haunted Mansion characters like the gravediggers, hitchhiking ghosts, and the spectral Bride; and Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow, and Daisy Duck dressed as the Sanderson Sisters! It kicks off with a visit from the Headless Horseman, which is one of the coolest things to see at the event.

Boo To You Parade

This year, the Boo-To-You parade will take place each evening of the party at 8:15PM and again at 11:15PM. Last year, the first showing was at 9:15PM, so it’s kicking off a full hour earlier in 2024!

It’s the Sanderson Sisters!

Disney announced that American Sign Language interpretation will be offered at select parade shows on Friday, August 23rd; Thursday, September 26th; and Thursday, October 24th. The website also noted, “Additional interpretation dates may be requested, based on availability, with at least 2 weeks advanced notice. Send an email to request additional dates. You will be contacted prior to your visit to verify interpreters are available.”

The Headless Horseman

Disney also announced the showtimes for the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show! The show features pyrotechnics, lasers, and more, and it’s all hosted by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The fireworks will take place each night at 10PM. Last year, it was 10:15PM, so it’s not a huge change in 2024.

The Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

Disney confirmed that American Sign Language interpretation will be offered at the shows on Friday, August 23rd; Thursday, September 26th; and Thursday, October 24th, and you can request additional interpretation dates as well. “Send an email [at least 2 weeks in advance] to request additional dates. You will be contacted prior to your visit to verify interpreters are available.”

Fireworks show

Another popular entertainment offering at the party is the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, which is hosted on the Cinderella Castle Stage by the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. Villains like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent are going to join in this year!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

From August 9th through September 28th, the show will run each event night at 9:05PM, 10:40PM, and 12AM.

From September 29th through October 31st, there will be an additional show at 7:40PM, making the full list of showtimes on those dates 7:40PM, 9:05PM, 10:40PM, and 12AM.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

American Sign Language interpretation will be offered at the shows on Friday, August 23rd; Thursday, September 26th; and Thursday, October 24th, and you can request additional interpretation dates as well. “Send an email [at least 2 weeks in advance] to request additional dates. You will be contacted prior to your visit to verify interpreters are available.”

Hocus Pocus Villains Spelltacular

Now, as we mentioned, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed event, so you must have a separate Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket in order to get into the event. A ticket to this after-hours party gets you access to Magic Kingdom a few hours before the party begins (at 4PM), but if you plan to be in Magic Kingdom BEFORE 4PM, you will need both a Magic Kingdom park ticket and a party ticket.

This is Halloween

Disney announced that tickets for the event will go on sale on May 15th. However, if you have a reservation booked at a Disney World resort hotel for one of the nights of the party, you can buy your ticket EARLY, starting on May 8th, 2024!

Trick or Treat!

The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will kick off on Friday, August 9th, 2024. Additional parties will take place on select nights through October 31st, 2024.

For example, you know at Disney’s Animal Kingdom you’re going to see nearly every Disney dad in that Hakuna Matata t-shirt. Or if a colorful new Loungefly just debuted, you’ll keep seeing people with it on around the parks all day. That’s what we think is going to happen with these brand new Minnie ears!

BaubleBar just announced that they are releasing two new pairs of Minnie ears! Say hello to the Minnie Mouse Classic Ear Headband and the Minnie Mouse Birthday Ear Headband! It’s clear that the pair on the left takes inspiration from the classic Minnie Mouse ears while the pair on the left adds a pop of color with jewels all over the ears.

These range in cost from $39.99 to $44.99 making them just a bit more expensive than the regular Minnie ear price. You’ll be able to purchase them directly from BaubleBar’s website! They are one of the few brands that Disney allows to sell Minnie ears on their own site online.

The brand has released some pretty gorgeous ears before including this Princess Leia-inspired accessory…

Here is the full list of attractions that will be open during parties:

  • Swiss Family Treehouse
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
  • “It’s a small world”

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is not listed on the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party webpage but is listed on the party’s landing page in the My Disney Experience app.

When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens this summer, it will likely use only a virtual queue and individual Lightning Lane for access. We don’t know if these options will be the only ones available during the Halloween parties or if the ride will have a standby queue in the evenings.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes over Magic Kingdom from 7 p.m. to midnight.
