Welcome to EPCOT. The park for people who love characters, rides (hello, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind), food (there’s a World Showcase FULL of great meals), and, of course, drinks. Yep, drinking around the world has become a pretty big thing in EPCOT, but there’s one special day in May that attracts even MORE people to this park. The crowds showed up at EPCOT on May 5th. Any guesses why?
EPCOT
May 5th is Cinco de Mayo, and while Disney didn’t announce any special Cinco de Mayo offerings, we spotted plenty of people in EPCOT ready to celebrate! Wait until you see what we mean.
If you were wondering, the crowds showed UP for Cinco de Mayo at EPCOT. The line to get into La Cava del Tequilawas pretty long during our visit. Who doesn’t want a margarita on Cinco de Mayo, right?
You know people are serious about this holiday when there’s a line forming before La Cava del Tequila even opens! When we stopped by around 10:45AM, there was already a pretty long queue forming. This EPCOT bar typically opens at 11AM, so don’t waste your time walking all the way to the Mexico Pavilion before then.
La Cava del Tequila
Elsewhere in EPCOT, we spotted long lines at the Flower and Garden Festival food booths, too. Everyone was in the mood for a drink on this sunny May day! (We can’t blame them) But it wasn’t just drinks people were after. Over in the Morocco Pavilion, we found a LONG line of people waiting to enter the limited-time Annual Passholder lounge.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is home to a seriously surprising amount of activities for families and groups of friends. There’s an entire ranch at this resort with a BIG barn you can explore!
Horseback riding at Fort Wilderness
One of the most popular activities is horseback riding. A few times a day, guests can participate in a 45-minute horseback ride through the wooded trails of the campground. However, this summer, this offering will be temporarily unavailable.
Starting July 13th, Horseback Riding will be unavailable Monday–Friday at the hotel due to construction. Note that on Saturdays and Sundays, some rides may be available, but you’ll need to check the My Disney Experience app for availability each Friday.
At this time, there is no end date for the construction, so it’s important to keep this in mind if you have an upcoming trip planned.
Horseback riding at Tri-Circle-D Ranch
In addition to horseback riding, you can also get archery lessons, experience Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long, rent canoes and kayaks, and more for an additional fee. You also don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to book these experiences!
Archery
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this experience and the construction around it, so stay tuned to DFB!

Sometimes, we’re surprised by great snacks that looked a little questionable, or vice versa. For all our sweet treat fans, there’s a new cookie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios you’ll want to try (even if you’re a little hesitant at first)!
Over at the Joffrey’s kiosk in Pixar Place in Hollywood Studios, you’ll find the new Play-Doh Cookie for $5.99. It’s quite a thick cookie and has a frosted animal cracker on top! Look at this big guy — impressive, eh?
Play-Dough Cookie
While this cookie is VERY doughy, it’s also delicious! It’s a Funfetti sugar cookie with caramel and white chocolate chips sprinkled inside. The center is very soft and pulls apart really easily.
So cute!
The animal cookie in the center is just what you would expect it to be; it’s a simple icing and sprinkle-coated cookie. Overall, this is a fun concept and was executed beautifully! If you’re looking for a simple but wonderful cookie, this is for you! Otherwise, if you’re looking for something more elevated, you might be left a little disappointed.
A trip to Disney World is a dream come true for many of us, and a special way to remember that moment is that perfect picture. Included with your park ticket, however, is a little bit of heat, a dash of humidity, and sweat galore, which means our “perfect picture” can be ruined with melted-off makeup and droopy eyeliner.
Cinderella Castle
Not to worry though, because we compiled a list of the best beauty products that will stay in place throughout your day at the park. So all you have to worry about is where you’re taking that perfect picture.

Now on to list our personal make-up faves and must-haves for a full day at the parks.
The first step to any long-lasting makeup routine is primer, and this e.l.f. Power Grip Primer is a lifesaver when you’re active at the parks all day. Not only does it help your makeup stay on for hours, but it also helps brighten and smooth over any dullness. Also, it’s perfect for hydrating the skin, which is needed during those hot days at the parks.
Sunscreen is a must-have with the Florida sun being as powerful as it is, but with this Tinted Facial Sunscreen not only do you get protection, you get coverage as well! This product is perfect for anyone looking for a lighter alternative option to foundation, which we know can feel a little heavy on a hot day at the parks.
The Fenty Beauty Match Stix is AMAZING for contouring. With its smooth application and moisturizing formula, it’s the perfect tool for all your contouring needs.
The e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer does what it’s named after and it does it well: conceals and hydrates. Even on the hottest of days, this concealer does not budge and it gives a nice satin finish to the parts you apply this on.
I’m sure by now you can tell that we love e.l.f., but their products are that GREAT! This e.l.f. Liquid Blush is truly long wasting and colors are beautiful. We love how blendable and buildable it is and how it gives your face a nice dewy finish.
Long-lasting and leaving you with an airbrushed complexion, the e.l.f. Camo Powder Foundation is perfect for all skin types and contains skin-loving ingredients that will hug your face all day, no matter how many times you’re running around the Magic Kingdom.
Setting spray is a must if you want your makeup to stay in place when you’re planning to be at the park for hours and this Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is just the thing to do the job. The best part? It’s waterproof, so even a ride at Kali River Rapids won’t ruin your hard work.
Another waterproof essential is the essence Lash Princess Mascara, which gives a voluminous effect to your lashes. This mascara lasts through sweat, weather, and even tears, which is perfect if you’re planning on watching Happily Ever After.
Absolutely smudge resistant, this NYX PROFESSIONAL Eye Pencil lasts all day, rain or shine. Available in different shades ranging from natural to bright colors, it’s definitely one of our top picks on this list.
For those who love a good falsie, these Wispy Lashes are not only super cute but also lightweight, making them very comfortable for the hours you’ll be wearing them. We love a natural-looking false lash that still gives us that extra volume and length to elevate our eye looks at the park.
No look is complete without a bold or glossy lip and this e.l.f Glossy Lip Stain does both. Available in 8 gorgeous shades, this lip stain is both long-lasting and gives a pop of color to your lips.
And our last recommendation on this list is the perfect thing to control the amount of unwanted sheen on your face: these Oil Blotting Tissues are the best for absorbing facial oil, helping your face feel fresh despite all the hours you’ve been active. It even comes packaged in a small portable compact with a mirror, which is great for using it on the spot.
