WATCH OUT! A Big Event Is Happening at Disney World, and It Brought the CROWDS to EPCOT’s World Showcase

Welcome to EPCOT. The park for people who love characters, rides (hello, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind), food (there’s a World Showcase FULL of great meals), and, of course, drinks. Yep, drinking around the world has become a pretty big thing in EPCOT, but there’s one special day in May that attracts even MORE people to this park. The crowds showed up at EPCOT on May 5th. Any guesses why?

EPCOT

May 5th is Cinco de Mayo, and while Disney didn’t announce any special Cinco de Mayo offerings, we spotted plenty of people in EPCOT ready to celebrate! Wait until you see what we mean.

If you were wondering, the crowds showed UP for Cinco de Mayo at EPCOT. The line to get into La Cava del Tequila was pretty long during our visit. Who doesn’t want a margarita on Cinco de Mayo, right?

You know people are serious about this holiday when there’s a line forming before La Cava del Tequila even opens! When we stopped by around 10:45AM, there was already a pretty long queue forming. This EPCOT bar typically opens at 11AM, so don’t waste your time walking all the way to the Mexico Pavilion before then.

La Cava del Tequila

Elsewhere in EPCOT, we spotted long lines at the Flower and Garden Festival food booths, too. Everyone was in the mood for a drink on this sunny May day! (We can’t blame them) But it wasn’t just drinks people were after. Over in the Morocco Pavilion, we found a LONG line of people waiting to enter the limited-time Annual Passholder lounge.

Annual Passholder lounge line

This new lounge is a great spot to grab a light snack, soak in some air conditioning, and even meet a character! As the name implies, it’s only for Annual Passholders, so make sure you have proof of your membership before you get in line.

Hey, Genie!

Yeah, it was a BUSY day in EPCOT. If you’re planning to drink around the world during your next visit to the park, make sure to stop for a snack along the way and drink plenty of water! Here’s a secret: some of those Disney drinks are shockingly strong. Trust us.

Lychee Margarita

Happy Cinco de Mayo to all who are celebrating! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

A Popular Disney World Hotel Activity Will Be UNAVAILABLE Starting July 13th

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is home to a seriously surprising amount of activities for families and groups of friends. There’s an entire ranch at this resort with a BIG barn you can explore!

Horseback riding at Fort Wilderness

One of the most popular activities is horseback riding. A few times a day, guests can participate in a 45-minute horseback ride through the wooded trails of the campground. However, this summer, this offering will be temporarily unavailable.

Starting July 13th, Horseback Riding will be unavailable Monday–Friday at the hotel due to construction. Note that on Saturdays and Sundays, some rides may be available, but you’ll need to check the My Disney Experience app for availability each Friday.

©Disney

At this time, there is no end date for the construction, so it’s important to keep this in mind if you have an upcoming trip planned.

Horseback riding at Tri-Circle-D Ranch

In addition to horseback riding, you can also get archery lessons, experience Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long, rent canoes and kayaks, and more for an additional fee. You also don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to book these experiences!

Archery

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this experience and the construction around it, so stay tuned to DFB!

REVIEW: If We Only Had $6 To Spend in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, THIS Is What We’d Get

We’ve tried a lot of snacks in Disney World, some that we’ve loved and plenty that we never want to see again.

Num Num Cookies

Sometimes, we’re surprised by great snacks that looked a little questionable, or vice versa. For all our sweet treat fans, there’s a new cookie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios you’ll want to try (even if you’re a little hesitant at first)!

Over at the Joffrey’s kiosk in Pixar Place in Hollywood Studios, you’ll find the new Play-Doh Cookie for $5.99. It’s quite a thick cookie and has a frosted animal cracker on top! Look at this big guy — impressive, eh?

Play-Dough Cookie

While this cookie is VERY doughy, it’s also delicious! It’s a Funfetti sugar cookie with caramel and white chocolate chips sprinkled inside. The center is very soft and pulls apart really easily.

So cute!

The animal cookie in the center is just what you would expect it to be; it’s a simple icing and sprinkle-coated cookie. Overall, this is a fun concept and was executed beautifully! If you’re looking for a simple but wonderful cookie, this is for you! Otherwise, if you’re looking for something more elevated, you might be left a little disappointed.

YUM!
