BREAKING: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride Experience Unveiled On ‘We Call It Imagineering’

Tk TK from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure revealed during second episode of “We Call It Imagineering.”

During the second episode of the YouTube series, “We Call It Imagineering” Walt Disney Imagineering shared never-before-seen look at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The episode, focused on how music is created for attractions and entertainment at the Disney Parks, features Imagineers, and a ride with Grammy Winning Artist PJ Morton and Walt Disney Imagineering Global Music Executive Tricia Holloway

Two people, PJ Morton and Tricia Holloway, stand side by side outdoors, smiling and waving at the camera. PJ Morton wears a white jacket and hat, while Tricia Holloway is in a black jacket—a perfect snapshot of the creativity we call imagineering.

PJ Morton, a Grammy-award-winning artist from New Orleans, is heavily featured throughout the episode as he is the musician behind the music of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Morton composed the attraction’s new song, “Special Spice”, whose title was revealed for the first time in the episode. He was among the first people to ride the attraction, and viewers get a look of Morton as floats down the bayou, declaring, “I wrote that song,” as he passes through a scene.

This is the first time guests have gotten a look at the on-ride experience of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which opens at Magic Kingdom on June 28.

Tiana can be seen halfway up the first lift hill, and even appears to turn to smile at riders as they pass by.

A group of people sits in a log ride surrounded by beams and decor; the person in front wears a name tag, while another sports a blue cap and glasses. This scene captures the essence of what we call imagineering.

Later, we get a look at Tiana in full adventure mode, hat and all.

A person, wearing a hat and white shirt, stands in a wooded area surrounded by tall grasses under a blue sky—capturing the essence of what we call imagineering.

Eventually, riders come to the famous final drop, formerly into the Briar Patch. The drop has been modified to give a Mardi Gras vibe with yellow and purple lighting.

Two people sit close together on a dark ride. Bright, colorful lights appear ahead of them, illuminating the surrounding darkness—a perfect example of what we call imagineering.

Ultimately, we got a look at the finale, as you arrive safely at Fleur du Bayou to see Tiana and all of her friends.

An illuminated sign reads "Welcome to Fleur du Bayou, Home of Princess Tiana & Prince Naveen" above a vibrant, lively scene with characters celebrating outside a decorated building at night—it's all part of what we call imagineering.

Walt Disney Imagineering also shared a portion of the adventure on their Instagram page:

PHOTOS: First Physical Signs of Project to Remove Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland Paris Now Visible, Original Space Mountain May Return

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain may soon be converted back to Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris, according to long-standing internet rumors. Now, the first physical signs of this project can be seen within the park.

Hyperspace Mountain Reportedly Being Converted Back to Space Mountain

People wait in line outside a building for Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland Paris on a sunny day, celebrating the park's 30th Anniversary.

Rumors suggest that Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland Paris will be converted back to Space Mountain in celebration of the attraction’s 30th anniversary in 2025. Unlike Disneyland Park in the U.S., where Space Mountain has been given a temporary Hyperspace Mountain overlay in honor of the “Star Wars” Season of the Force, the Disneyland Paris version was permanently converted to Hyperspace Mountain in 2017.

Photos from X user DLPWorks reveal construction walls up around the future maintenance bay area at the Hyperspace Mountain building. This lends credence to the rumors that the Discoveryland attraction will undergo a major refurbishment. The creation of this new maintenance area was first noted by Disneyland Paris in November 2023. On May 29, 2024, the attraction was listed as closed on the Disneyland Paris website and it will be through the end of the month to accommodate this project. It is unknown when the attraction would close for the major renovation project, nor how long that closure will last.

History of Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris

A large, uniquely designed ride with a cannon-like structure extending from the side, reminiscent of Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris, set against a blue sky with white clouds. The area has a water feature and is bordered by a wooden and metal fence.

The original Disneyland Paris Space Mountain, Space Mountain: De la Terre à la Lune opened on June 1, 1995, three years after the opening of the park. The attraction was inspired by (and named after) the Jules Verne novel, “From the Earth to the Moon,” as can be seen from the exterior of the building.

Space Mountain: De la Terre à la Lune closed in January of 2005, reopening in April of that year as Space Mountain: Mission 2. This version of the attraction was themed as a second mission, taking riders beyond the moon they traveled to in the first iteration. It was retired in 2017 during a major rehabilitation of the ride.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, Space Mountain reopened as Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain in 2017. The attraction remains in this form currently.
