You also get access to exclusive events and merchandise. However, one of the best D23 Gold member perks could be the discounts you can get on Disney World hotels, and we’ve got one to tell you about right now.
Right now, D23 Gold Members can save 15% off at Holiday Inn in the Disney Springs area. Not only that, but you can also get FREE parking (definitely a bonus if you drive to Disney World or rent a car). This hotel is within walking distance to Disney Springs, which makes the location PERFECT.
Holiday Inn — Disney Springs

As part of Disney’s V.I.Passholder Days, you can enjoy extra merchandise discounts, a new Passholder magnet, a special NEW lounge in Disney World, Passholder-exclusive treats, special photo ops, and more. OK, back to that lounge we mentioned. This year, you’ll find it inside Restaurant Marrakesh in EPCOT!
Restaurant Marrakesh March 2024
Restaurant Marrakesh is tucked away in the back of the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT. YEARS ago (like, pre-2020), this spot was a table-service spot filled with Moroccan dishes and live entertainment. Most of the time, this spot sits empty, but for a short period of time, it will be used as an exclusive lounge!
Restaurant Marrakesh
Now that the lounge is OPEN, let’s head inside and take a look! This spot is the perfect place to escape the crowds (and the heat). There are complimentary snacks and drinks, plenty of seats, and a special character meet and greet.
Here’s what the inside of this year’s AP VIPassholder Lounge looks like inside! pic.twitter.com/7sGiU2jOv2
To access the lounge, make sure you have proof of your Annual Passholder membership to show a Cast Member! Inside you’ll find free refreshments — Moroccan Mint Tea and some packaged snacks.
We met Genie today, and we’re told by Cast Members that Genie will usually be the one hanging out in the lounge — but you may see Jafar and Abu instead, so be flexible!
Hey, Genie!
V.I.Passholder Days will run from May 1st through June 26th, so make sure to head on over to EPCOT to enjoy that special treatment! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

We recently found a very elusive snack in Disney World, and that’s not even the biggest problem. The BIGGEST problem is that it’s elusive, and ALSO happens to be one of our favorite new snack discoveries.
Tower of Terror Cookie
The Terror Cookie can be found at the Joffrey’s stand near the stomach-dropping Tower of Terror ride for $6.38. We knew it was available, but it has clearly been in the Twilight Zone because no matter how often we checked for it, it was never to be found. A Cast Member confirmed that it is hardly ever put out, and so we were HEARTBROKEN, because it’s delicious. Well, we just discovered something revolutionary.
We were doing some research on where to find various Joffrey’s treats in the parks (just food reporter things), and we discovered that the company who makes the gigantic Joffrey’s cookies (like our beloved Terror Cookie) is Sweet Cups Cookies.
Upon further investigation, we found that the website is set up for SHIPMENTS. Yes, it’s basically a cookie delivery service where you can order these gigantic sweet treats directly to your home. It’s like a snail mail cookie company, and it’s glorious.
S’mores cookie from Joffrey’s
That’s not even the best part though. The BEST part is that they have our beloved Terror Cookie.
There’s only one thing…standard shipping was $18.95 within the state of Florida, so it could be even more if you live out of state. To order one cookie, it was nearly $27! So, it might be worth it to order multiple if you deem the $20 shipping worth it.
Terror Cookie at the Tower of Terror Joffrey’s Cart
Plus, standard shipping takes around a week, so you still wouldn’t get your cookies in a timely manner. If you’re all for gourmet cookies and delayed gratification, then this website is totally for you.
We’re at Disney World every single day to try new treats and keep an eye on all the menus, rides, and merch shops. We also love to take a deep dive into some desserts, and when we do, we often find hacks like this one! We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing.

Hollywood Studios celebrated a MILESTONE anniversary with a special show.
Souvenir poster
Disney Hollywood Studios celebrated its 35th anniversary on May 1st, 2024. In addition to special merchandise and a collectible park map, the park also put on a special show honoring the people who made it all possible: Cast Members.
The small show, which was housed at the Theater of the Stars venue (usually home to Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage), began with an appearance from Kermit and Miss Piggy as hosts, which was appropriate since the Muppets have had a presence at the park since opening day in 1989, and Muppet*Vision 3-D has been open since 1991.
Kermit and Miss Piggy open the festivities
Following this opening skit, speeches were given by one of Walt Disney World’s ambassadors and Hollywood Studios VP Jackie Swisher.
Here’s a peek into the 35th anniversary show today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Kermit and Miss Piggy were our hosts!
During her speech, Swisher took time to honor any opening day Disney-MGM Studios cast members in the crowd. After standing for cheers, these cast members were brought to the front of the stage and posed in front of it as several characters entered to do a small-scale reproduction of the Fantasmic! finale, complete with confetti.
The show then wrapped with a photo-op of the cast members and characters.
The opening day cast members strike a pose!
On our way out, we bumped into Tom Vazzana, Director of Creative Development at Walt Disney, who talked to us about what makes the park so special to fans and cast members alike.
Hollywood Studios celebrated its 35th anniversary in style by remembering to celebrate the cast members who’ve made the (movie) magic happen over the last 3+ decades! Stay tuned to DFB for further coverage of the Hollywood Studios festivities.

Don’t close that suitcase just yet! We need to make sure you’re all set for your Disney World trip!
Walt Disney World Belt Bag
While you’re finalizing all the vacation details, we need to talk about one important thing you’re putting into your suitcase. Let’s talk about the bag you’re going to bring for your days in the parks. To that point, we’ve found a deal on the belt bag that everyone is wearing to Disney World, so let’s make sure you don’t miss out!
DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission.
There’s a reason everyone is wearing this bag to the parks. The convenience is unparalleled. You can wear it over the shoulder or around the waist. It’s light and has enough space to fit a phone, wallet, and keys. Basically, you’ll be able to carry the essentials for those quick trips to the parks.
Here’s another option for you. Just like the Lululemon Belt Bag, we’ve seen TONS of people rock Fjallraven Kanken bags for years now. This Hip Pack will let you carry exactly what you need in a comfortable and compact form factor. It’s got all of the sturdiness of the original backpack and it’s water resistant. You’ll find an inside sleeve pocket, a key clip, and two zippered pockets on the outside. Do you need anything else?
The tag of the ornament is blue with white lines inspired by Donald’s sailor shirt. It has a “Donald Duck 90” logo.
The sculpted ornament depicts Donald as he looked in his original animation style. He has a longer beak and a white hat. The Donald figure is standing on a green field in front of a “90” made out of wood and a life preserver.
A golden medallion connecting the ornament and ribbon reads “Celebrating 90 Years.”
“Donald Duck” is on the life preserver, which appears to be tied to a post with rope.
Some of the green grass grows up the sides of the “90.”
Donald Duck 90th Birthday Puzzle – $29.99
The puzzle is 1,000 pieces. It measures 27 inches by 19.5 inches, or 68.6 centimeters by 49.5 centimeters. Donald in his standard blue sailor shirt and blue hat, is pictured in the center against a brown background. Around him are different versions of Donald from over the years.
The artwork, “Donald Duck Through the Years,” is by Darren Wilson.
Darren Wilson creates works of art for the Disney galleries at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and the Disney Cruise Line. Darren is a celebrated Disney Artist and has developed his own unique style of capturing the essence of his subject matter through his artistic vision.
Donald Duck debuted in “The Wise Little Hen,” which was released in theaters on June 9, 1934. Clarence Nash originated the role and voiced Donald until his death in 1985. Nash mentored Tony Anselmo, who took over the role and has voiced Donald ever since.
Although Anselmo is the main voice of Donald, Daniel Ross voiced the character for the series “Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures.” In the 2017 “DuckTales” series,” Minnie Mouse voice actress Russi Taylor and Christina Vee voiced a young Donald. Marvel star Don Cheadle voiced an intelligible version of Donald’s voice in one episode.
Mission complete. Star Wars: The Bad Batch wrapped up its final season on Disney+ today and seven new posters have been released in celebration of the finale. The Truman Show is often regarded as the ultimate satirical look at American reality culture and the lengths we go for entertainment, whether it be morally reprehensible or otherwise. However, the show within the film might not be as outlandish as one might have assumed. The Contestant, a new documentary out of the Toronto International Film […]
Crews have started to refresh the painted sun mural around the entrance to the “Tangled”-inspired women’s restroom in Magic Kingdom.
“Tangled” Restrooms
The restrooms are located in Fantasyland, next to Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world.”
A swirling pink and purple mural features floral elements and golden suns. It curves around the entrance to the women’s entrance. We noticed new paint on the ground at the bottom of the mural.
The freshly painted section does not yet feature all the detail work of the mural on the wall. It’s more solid shades of purple with a few golden suns and red lines.
Because the mural is on the ground and stepped on a lot, this paint has to be refreshed periodically.
Compare the current state of the mural (above) to our 2021 photo of this spot (below).
